<p id=”par-1_26″>Jay Cutler is in hot water. The former <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/nfl/?swcfpc=1″>NFL</a> star was arrested on Oct. 17 on <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/karen-huger-addresses-dui-crash-explosive-rhop-season-9-trailer.html/”>charges of DUI</a> and illegally possessing a weapon while intoxicated. </p>

<p id=”par-2_24″>Police say that Cutler rear-ended another vehicle in downtown Franklin, Tenn. He then reportedly offered the other driver $2,000 to not call the police. </p>
<p id=”par-3_37″>When officers did arrive on the scene, they observed that the one-time quarterback for the Chicago Bears had “bloodshot eyes” and was “staggering, swaying and heavy-footed while walking,” according to a police report obtained by <a href=”https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/jay-cutler-tried-to-flee-dui-scene-offered-2000-docs/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Us Weekly</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-4_34″>Cutler initially denied he’d been drinking, but eventually admitted <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/justin-timberlake-other-pop-stars-arrested-dwi.html/”>he had consumed alcohol</a>. When officers searched his car, they found a rifle in the backseat and a loaded Glock handgun in the center console. </p>
<p id=”par-5_10″>Cutler was arrested and released after he posted $5,000 bail. </p>

They have three children together. In April 2020, the pair announced they were splitting up. </p>
