The host frequently <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/has-wendy-williams-ever-interviewed-beyonce.html/”>discussed Jay-Z and Beyoncé</a>, especially when the media caught wind that the couple’s marriage might’ve been in trouble. Williams gave her opinions when Beyoncé’s sister, Solange Knowles, attacked Jay-Z in an elevator. </p>
<p id=”par-3_79″>In a past <a href=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcRubfNQvPY” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>episode</a> of Williams’ show, she addressed an article in the National Enquirer that claimed she was friends with the famous couple. A source told the tabloid, “What the couple found most difficult to deal with was the fact that some of the rumors were being perpetuated by people they considered friends, like talk show host Wendy Williams.” Williams slammed the “source” as not credible because she doesn’t consider herself a close friend to Jay-Z or Beyoncé.</p>
<p id=”par-4_36″>“I’ve never partied with them” Williams verified. “I’ve never been to their house. I don’t swim in their pool. Like, we’re not friends. … But I do like you and I respect both of their grinds.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_39″>The source also told the National Enquirer that Williams performed a “stunt” with two of her pregnant staff members that referenced conspiracy theories regarding Beyoncé’s pregnancy at the time. Beyoncé was left “angered beyond belief,” the source alleged. </p>

The rapper grew up in the Marcy Projects, a public housing complex developed by the New York City Housing Authority. While speaking to <a href=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1pdeb7EN0Y” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>CBS Mornings</a>, he explained how he grew up with his parents always playing music in the house, which helped shape his identity.</p>
<p id=”par-9_78″>“My mom and pop had a huge record collection, so we just played music all day long,” Jay-Z fondly remembered. “We had a makeshift wall unit where it was like, two crates for the records, then it was plywood, and two other crates, another plywood. So, they made a wall unit. And it had a reel-to-reel. A reel-to-reel was on top, an amp, then a turntable. … We had a full system and just. music all the time.”</p>
