Williams maintains she is “trapped.”</p>
<p id=”par-3_50″>Williams explains she is effectively in “prison.” She adds, “I am not cognitively impaired. But I feel like I am in prison. I’m in this place where the people are in their 90s their 80s and their 70s. There’s something wrong with these people here on this floor,” she clarifies.</p>
<p id=”par-4_25″>Her statement refuted a claim made by <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/wendy-williams-guardian-tells-blatant-lies-money-ex-kevin-hunter-says.html/?swcfpc=1″>Williams’guardian</a>, Sabrina Morrissey. She claims the former talk show host and radio personality has aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. </p>
<p id=”par-5_32″>Williams’ niece, Alex Finnie, spoke about her beloved aunt’s ongoing legal situation <span style=”margin: 0px; padding: 0px;”>on<em> The</em></span><em> Breakfast Club</em>. She claims Williams’ guardian has made it “difficult” for Wendy to live a “healthy, independent life.” </p>
<p id=”par-6_41″>In addition, Finne added, “I’m not asking for a whole lot. All I’m saying is just treat the woman with dignity. And give her the freedoms that she deserves.” She also wants Williams’ supporters to “make noise” about her aunt’s conservatorship.</p>

Her bank, Wells Fargo, subsequently claimed in a New York court that she was an “incapacitated person” and the “victim of undue influence and financial exploitation,” according to <a href=”https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/business-news/wendy-williams-guardianship-wells-fargo-1235151417/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Hollywood Reporter.</a> Wells Fargo requested Williams’ conservatorship because they believed she was experiencing cognitive issues that prevented her from properly managing her finances. </p>
<p id=”par-8_36″>The limited series <em>Where is Wendy Williams?</em> detailed the television and radio personality’s health struggles, and addressed the conservatorship. However, Morrissey is not identified as Williams’ guardian in the Lifetime special, which aired in February 2024.</p>

<p id=”par-11_48″>It continues, “Unfortunately, they have exhausted their financial resources in their fight against this unjust guardianship and are in dire need of assistance to secure legal representation. Legal services can be prohibitively expensive, and without our support, they may struggle to navigate the complexities of the situation.” </p>
<p id=”par-12_13″>Thus far, the Go-Fund-Me to assist Wendy Williams has raised over $15K. </p>
