Since then, the couple has not been shy about showing off their romance. One of Kelce’s neighbors said they knew about the relationship long before the football game, though.</p>

<p id=”par-3_36″>“He’s an enigma — on one hand, he’s like this big, tough football player,” Bergmann said on <em>The Social Game Podcast</em>. “On the other, he’s going to have about 12 Taylor Swift songs written about him.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_20″>Bergmann said that because he lives so close to Kelce, he witnessed the relationship with Swift in its earliest stages.</p>

<p id=”par-5_48″>“Okay and on that note, I was like the first person to know about any of this stuff and I tried to tell this woman a long time ago,” he said referring to host Michele Fitzgerald. “‘They are together, just so you know’ and she didn’t believe it.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_18″>Bergmann said Swift and Kelce were together for roughly six months before they went public with their relationship.</p>
<p id=”par-7_29″>“She didn’t believe it, she was ‘She only goes for artists,’” he said. “I beat the validating of her showing up to games and stuff by like six months.”</p>

<p id=”par-9_57″>“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she told <a target=”_blank” href=”https://time.com/6342806/person-of-the-year-2023-taylor-swift/” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Time</a>. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_18″>She said she would never have a first date <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/taylor-swift-insisted-relationship-travis-kelce-near-psychotic-people-think.html/”>at as a public venue</a> as an NFL game.</p>

A source told <a href=”https://pagesix.com/2025/02/12/celebrity-news/travis-kelces-parents-would-love-to-welcome-taylor-swift-into-their-family-as-engagement-rumors-ramp-up/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Page Six</a> that Kelce’s family “would love to see Taylor and Travis spend their lives together.”</p>
<p id=”par-13_19″>Swift’s family reportedly gets along well with the Kelces, and they can tell that the pair are happy together.</p>
