<p id=”par-1_56″>There certainly aren’t as many royal family members on the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/rodents-and-asbestos-are-a-few-reasons-some-royals-dislike-buckingham-palace.html/”>Buckingham Palace</a> balcony now under<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/lets-hope-king-charles-iiis-reign-isnt-anything-like-king-charles-is-king-charles-iis.html/”> King Charles III’s reign</a> as there were when Queen Elizabeth II was the monarch. While <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/queen-elizabeth-ii-dead-british-monarch-dies-96.html/”>the late queen</a> seemed to have every one of her relatives squeeze onto the famous balcony, the king reserves those appearances for working royals only. </p>
<p id=”par-2_82″>But with King Charles and the Princess of Wales’ (<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/dont-be-fooled-this-is-what-kate-middleton-was-really-like-in-school.html/”>formerly known as Kate Middleton</a>) cancer battles coupled with the fact that some of the current working royals are deep into their 80s, just who is asked to step out onto the balcony for large-scale royal events may change. For those who find themselves waving to the crowds below again, they’ll likely still have to follow the same rules under Charles they did under his mother. And that includes remembering what’s “off-limits.” </p>

<p id=”par-4_50″>Before and after their balcony appearances, the royals gather in the Centre Room, which leads out onto the balcony. They often come together there for a catch-up and drinks. But that area where they congregate is “strictly off-limits” and no photographs are to be taken there at that time. </p>
<p id=”par-5_65″>In 2018 though, Princess Eugenie posted a picture on her Instagram page of Prince Andrew standing in a corridor before Trooping the Colour. She chose the image to share on the platform for Father’s Day that year and captioned it: “A wonderful and proud day celebrating Her Majesty’s birthday and [Duke of York] for his first Trooping the Colour as Colonel in Chief of the Grenadier Guards.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_28″>However, as <a href=”https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/royals/princess-eugenie-risked-queen-telling-23782575″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Mirror</a> reported, Eugenie ended up having to delete the post after it was pointed out that it was taken in the area that is “off-limits.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_29″>The princess later told British Vogue: “I recently got in trouble for posting a picture of Papa in a corridor of the Palace that was off-limits to the public.”</p>

<p id=”par-8_19″>Some good news for Eugenie these days is that she is said to be off the royal family’s “blacklist.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_66″>It was thought that her choice to remain close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, even after they publicly aired out their grievances with senior royals, caused some tension among those family members. It was also believed that Eugenie’s decision to visit the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in California and host them at her home in Portugal was not well received by other royals. </p>
<p id=”par-10_35″>An insider told <a href=”https://okmagazine.com/p/princess-eugenie-removed-royal-blacklist-skip-prince-harry-invictus-games-event/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>OK! magazine</a> that both Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, have now distanced themselves from the Sussexes and are committed to supporting Prince William amid his father and wife’s cancer diagnosis. </p>
<p id=”par-11_75″>“Bea and Eugenie can’t imagine what William is going through right now, and it was an honor for them to give him some support,” the source said, adding, “The York sisters were determined not to let him down. [Eugenie] worked hard to prove her commitment to the royals. She didn’t reach out to Harry when she was in LA in February. This confirmed his worst fears that his last line to his family was over.”</p>
