<p id=”par-3_40″>But following Taylor and Burton’s second divorce in 1978, Taylor sold the most infamous celebrity engagement ring in 1979 to New York jeweler Henry Lambert for an estimated $5M, with part of the proceeds funding a hospital in Botswana. </p>
<p id=”par-4_25″>Later that same year, Lambert sold the diamond to its <a href=”https://www.diamondsourceva.com/education/famousdiamonds/famous-diamonds-taylor-burton.asp” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>current owner</a>, Lebanese jeweler Robert Mouawad.
