According to a police report obtained by <a href=”https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/golden-bachelorette-contestant-restraining-order-gil-ramirez-1236008311/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Hollywood Reporter</a>, Ramirez stalked an ex-girlfriend and repeatedly tried to make contact with her and her friends and family. The victim claims Ramirez regularly showed up at places she frequented to confront her following the end of their romance. There was no mention of physical violence. The order was later dismissed.</p>

Days before the premiere aired, someone associated with Ramirez’s ex-girlfriend posted cryptic messages online about his legal troubles. The messages were shared on Reddit ahead of the premiere. It’s unclear when the <em>The Golden Bachelorette</em> team learned about the legal issues.</p>

A member of the production team told the publication that Ramirez had a limited role on the series. While it is unclear just how long he lasts in the competition, one can assume Joan cuts the Mission Viejo educator relatively early in the competition.</p>
