<p id=”par-3_39″>“According to my sources, it is going to air. And not only that, it’s not getting dumped on a streamer. It’s going to air on ABC this summer,” Steve said in a video shared on <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DX7JcpWRU49/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> on May 4. </p>
<p id=”par-4_35″>Steve predicted that the network will announce the decision to unpause the show during its upfront presentation next week. But as far specific details about the show’s return, that’s all unclear at this point. </p>
<p id=”par-5_43″>The report that ABC might air the episodes are somewhat surprising, given the controversy surrounding its leading lady. Many had speculated that if the season was ever released, it would be quietly added to Hulu rather than getting a full broadcast TV rollout.</p>
<p id=”par-6_88″>In March, ABC abruptly pulled Paul’s season of <em>The Bachelorette </em>from its schedule just days before it was supposed to premiere. The shock move came after reports that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/taylor-frankie-paul-accuses-dakota-mortensen-trying-sabotage-career-protective-order.html/”>Paul and her ex Dakota Mortensen</a> had been involved in a domestic incident in February and following the release of a video of Paul throwing a stool at Mortensen during an earlier 2023 altercation. The evolving situation between Paul and Mortensen had already led to a filming pause on season 5 of Hulu’s <em>The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. </em> </p>

<p id=”par-7_73″>ABC’s desire to salvage <em>The Bachelorette </em>Season 22 isn’t surprising. There were reports that the network stood to lose tens of millions of dollars by shelving the episodes. Meanwhile, a Utah judge recently granted mutual three-year protective orders to both Paul and Mortensen. They’re supposed to stay 100 feet away from each other. For now, Mortensen will retain custody of their 2-year-old son, with Paul getting eight hours of supervised visitation each week. </p>
<p id=”par-8_39″>“This is a very toxic relationship,” Commissioner Russell Minas said during the April 30 hearing, according to <a href=”https://www.sltrib.com/artsliving/2026/04/30/jessi-draper-says-dakota-mortensen/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Salt Lake Tribune</a>. “…If I don’t order both of them to stay away from each other, there will be additional problems.”</p>
