Sobbin’ Robyn Breaks Down in Teaser for Next Episode of ‘Sister Wives’

The breakup of her polygamist family is hitting Robyn Brown hard.

With <a href=”https://cheatsheet.com/tag/sister-wives”>Sister Wives</a> star Kody Brown estranged from <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sister-wives-news-gwendlyn-brown-confirms-most-kody-browns-children-estranged-except-robyns-kids.html/”>many of his adult children</a>, Robyn is putting pressure on her husband to repair those relationships. But Kody refuses to accept any responsibility for the rift between him and his kids. He’s only interested in nurturing his relationship with Roby, his fourth –and now only – wife.

As far as Kody’s kids are concerned, Robyn is just as much to blame for the family’s problems as Kody. In a teaser for the show’s Oct. 13 episode, Robyn appears to break down in tears because of the intense family drama.

The Oct. 6 episode of Sister Wives ended with a tense conversation between <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sister-wives-evident-robyn-brown-kody-number-one.html/”>Kody and Robyn</a> over his reluctance to engage with his adult children. She thinks he needs to make more of an effort to be part of their lives.

“You just have to let your kids know you’re there. If I were him, I’d be calling, emailing, texting, maybe showing up, flying out there,” she said in a confessional.

But Kody is digging in his heels.

“Those children who are open to me will get my attention,” he told her as she begged him to reach out to the kids he shares with his three former wives. But he said he wasn’t interested in a relationship with people who treated him with “total contempt.”

“You need to figure it out, because it’s hard on us,” Robyn replied.

Though Kody told Robyn he’d continue to try to reconnect with his children, the bad feelings between family members aren’t going away. In a sneak peek at the next episode that aired after the show’s Oct. 6 installment, Robyn breaks down from the stress.

“The only thing that keeps my head above water now is just prayers,” she says tearfully in a self-filmed confessional.

Kody is praying too. “For me, now, my prayer is just like, ‘Save me and Robyn,’” he says.

While Robyn is urging Kody to focus on his kids, the rest of the Brown family isn’t sure they can trust her.

“I think that Robyn definitely has a victim complex,” Gabriel Brown tells his mom Janelle Brown. Gabe and his late brother Garrison’s (who died by suicide in March 2024) <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sister-wives-everything-caused-gabriel-end-relationship-father-kody.html/”>relationship with their dad became strained</a> after they fought over COVID-19 restrictions, among other issues.

“I’m not hopeful for a relationship with Dad and Robyn,” he adds.

“There’s a lot of anger towards Robyn,” Janelle says in an interview. “You know what I mean? They’re leery of Robyn.”
