<p id=”par-1_65″>Hip-hop mogul <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/sean-diddy-combs/”>Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs</a> has been <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sean-diddy-combs-gets-special-jail-laptop-preloaded-key-legal-documents.html/”>sitting in jail</a> since his arrest in September 2024. Diddy is charged with sex trafficking and racketeering, and his situation has been high-profile for months. Peacock, a popular streaming service, has made a documentary about Diddy’s situation featuring people from his inner circle and those who have interacted with Diddy through the years. It premieres on January 14.</p>
<p id=”par-2_17″>Diddy’s team recently responded to the upcoming documentary, and let’s just say they aren’t thrilled with it.</p>

<p id=”par-3_41″>Diddy first came under first in 2023 after his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, sued him for years of abuse during their relationship. Then, in early 2024, a video surfaced of Diddy physically abusing Cassie in a hotel hallway, which gained national attention.</p>
<p id=”par-4_58″>After a months-long investigation, Diddy was arrested on multiple charges, and he has been in jail ever since. Now, Peacock is preparing to release a new documentary titled <em>Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy</em>, which discusses <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/celebrities-left-diddys-parties-avoid-happened-5-a-m-source-claimed.html/”>people’s personal experiences with the rapper</a>. But Diddy’s team recently responded to the upcoming documentary, and they were not too pleased.</p>
<p id=”par-5_64″>“These documentaries include unchecked claims and provide platforms for baseless conspiracy theories without accountability or evidence,” Diddy’s team told <a href=”https://www.newsweek.com/sean-diddy-combs-peacock-documentary-allegations-2009627″>Newsweek</a>. “In the case of the Peacock documentary in particular, the motivations and credibility of those being interviewed must be questioned. Many claim to have knowledge but lack any connection to the truth, while their wild, unfounded theories are cut and sensationalized to appear factual.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_41″>Combs’ legal team referenced Combs’ right to a fair trial, too, adding, “Mr. Combs deserves his day in court with an impartial jury, free from the taint of these baseless claims.” Diddy’s trial is not set to begin until May 2025.</p>

<p id=”par-7_75″>Although plenty of celebrities were quick to attend Diddy’s white parties, it looks like he doesn’t have anyone on his side anymore. Many celebrities have done their best to distance themselves from the mogul; rapper Ray J even said in a TMZ documentary that he had heard rumors of some celebrities trying to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/ray-j-claims-celebrities-paying-sean-diddy-combs-victims-stay-quiet-said-too-much.html/”>pay off Diddy’s alleged victims</a>. The idea was that the payout would prevent alleged victims from bringing up these other celebrities’ names.</p>
<p id=”par-8_29″>Diddy originally tried to get released on bail, but after the judge wouldn’t hear, his team chose to stop seeking bail and will instead let Diddy remain in jail.</p>
