The couple began dating in 1994, broke up and reunited after several years apart, and stayed together until 2007. Combs said that while he immediately took an interest in Porter, it took him a while to make a move. He admitted that she made him nervous.</p>

<p id=”par-5_47″>“She kind of made me nervous,” Combs said, adding, “She wasn’t like a New York girl. She was Bohemian, mixed with Georgia-peach hospitality. I got the idea she’d like doing stuff like walking barefoot in the grass. I didn’t think I could get her to like me.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_12″>He said that while her personality made him nervous, it impressed him.</p>
<p id=”par-7_40″>“She was smooth, you know, like ice,” he said. “She’s cool and collected and thinks before she speaks. You meet a lot of young ladies, and they just don’t do that. Kim was never pressed; she was always in control.”</p>

By 2007, though, she’d had enough. Porter said there were many factors that led to the end of their relationship, including the child Combs had with another woman.</p>

I’m glad you decided to be a man,’” Porter said. “I was like, ‘Dude, this is so wack I can’t even respect you right now.’ And for me, once the respect is gone, I’m not even listening to you.”</p>
