<p id=”par-1_13″>The reviews for <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/meghan-markle/?swcfpc=1″>Meghan Markle</a>‘s lifestyle show on <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/netflix/?swcfpc=1″>Netflix</a> are in and they haven’t been good. </p>
<p id=”par-2_49″>Several major outlets in the U.S. and the U.K. slammed <em>With Love, Meghan</em> saying that the series “lacked authenticity” and was a “boring watch.” And the majority of reviews on <a href=”https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/with_love_meghan/s01/reviews?type=user” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Rotten Tomatoes</a> gave the show a rating of one star or just a half star calling it “fake,” and “tone deaf.”</p>
<p id=”par-3_46″>To be fair, the show did make its way into Netflix’s Top 10 shortly after its premiere, but it didn’t stay there long. And since then, there have been announcements about the Duchess of Sussex’s other business ventures and some commentators find the timing curious. </p>

<p id=”par-5_44″>When Meghan’s first podcast <em>Archetypes</em> got <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/spotify-boss-points-unhappy-listeners-reason-meghan-markles-podcast-failed.html/”>axed by Spotify</a> in 2023 after just one season, a company many people had never heard of before called Lemonada Media announced that it was partnering with Meghan for another podcast hosted by the Duchess of Sussex. </p>
<p id=”par-6_38″>On March 8, Meghan announced that her new audio series <em>Confessions of a Female Founder</em> would begin airing on April 8. But now, weeks before we even hear it, Harry’s wife is being mocked over that venture. </p>
<p id=”par-7_66″>In a TikTok video pop culture podcaster Zack Peter said: “Well Meghan Markle just announced her latest business venture. A new podcast that nobody asked for … because that went so great when she had her deal with Spotify. It’s called <em>Confessions of a Female Founder</em>, I’m sorry… what has she founded? She founded herself a prince that she had never heard of. She founded racism in the royal family.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_73″>Peter continued: “What era are we in? Is this 2016? First, she gave us her Pinterest cooking show on Netflix from like 2015 and she just jumped a year ahead into this hashtag girl boss era where she’s going to launch yet another podcast that’s not that different from <em>Archetypes</em>. Listen, I’m not trying to hate on this lady but it’s overexposure at this point and the audience already finds you a bit insufferable.”</p>

<p id=”par-9_39″>Royal commentator and <em>Unfiltered </em>host Kinsey Schofield also discussed Meghan’s new podcast and suggested that the whole reason it was announced when it was is to distract from the harsh reviews <em>With Love, Meghan</em> is continuing to get. </p>
<p id=”par-10_66″>During an episode of <em>Heirs and Spares</em>, Schofield explained: “We’ve heard from sources that spoke to the Daily Mail and The Express that Meghan’s announcement of season 2 was incredibly intentional to distract from the fact that the show is failing. But the announcement of Meghan’s new podcast almost immediately after felt to me like another ‘please, please stop talking about how bad my show’s doing.’”</p>
<p id=”par-11_61″>Fellow commentator Duncan Larcombe agreed adding: “They announced that there would be a series 2 a day before the ratings came out for Netflix. These things don’t go unnoticed and people see through that. The public [isn’t] stupid, viewers aren’t stupid … You get called out and unfortunately, I think for Meghan she’s setting herself up for failure in many ways.</p>
<p id=”par-12_21″>“So with the announcement of this latest venture, let’s wait and see but it may be more of the same.” </p>
