<p id=”par-1_59″>Prince William and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/kate-middleton/?swcfpc=1″>Kate Middleton</a> are the future king and queen, and William and is the only current working royal family member who is a direct descendent of King Charles. That’s because William’s brother and sister-in-law, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, stepped back from their royal roles five years ago to start a new life in the United States.</p>
<p id=”par-2_33″>Even though things between <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-william-3-shocking-words-prince-harry-wanted-repair-feud.html/”>the Wales and Sussex couples</a> haven’t improved, it seems like William and Kate still pay attention to the one aspect of Harry and Meghan’s relationship that people always enjoyed.</p>

The Prince and Princess of Wales were never the type of couple to flaunt their relationship, and public displays of affection were largely advised against in the royal family. However, once Harry and Meghan came along, things changed.</p>
<p id=”par-4_68″>Harry and Meghan weren’t always so loved by the public or the media, but people did like the refreshing sense of normalcy that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-harry-meghan-markle-pda-2025-invictus-games-overkill.html/”>they showed through their PDA</a>. The two were often spotted holding hands, having an arm on the other’s back, or otherwise announcing to the world that they were in love. And when they left the family, William and Kate began to behave the same way.</p>
<p id=”par-5_42″>William and Kate recently took a trip to Wales, where they knew all eyes would be on them. And as they walked, they were hand-in-hand — something that appears to be a page taken right out of Harry and Meghan’s relationship handbook.</p>
<p id=”par-6_73″>According to <a href=”https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/2021270/kate-william-following-meghan-harry-footsteps”>Express</a>, royal commentator Charlene White said that the public displays of affection might be more geared toward Americans. “It may not always play out so well here [in the United Kingdom], but it does well in the American market,” she said. She added that William and Kate are likely following in Harry and Meghan’s footsteps and “realizing actually that … As lovers of the royal family, we like to see that.”</p>

Things went south between William and Harry as far back as 2018, and the two men could never really patch things up.</p>
