<p id=”par-1_42″>Prince William and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/kate-middleton/?swcfpc=1″>Kate Middleton</a> have focused on becoming the future king and queen since they tied the knot back in 2011. However, there is another priority that now comes first: The couple’s three children, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/george-charlotte-louis-following-new-rules-home-kate-middleton.html/”>Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-2_45″>William and Kate are parents to three kids, and they have showed countless times that the kids will always remain their focus. Though parenting styles vary, William and Kate reportedly “never shout” at their kids, but they do have the equivalent of a timeout chair.</p>

<p id=”par-3_61″>Through the decades, parenting techniques have shifted drastically. People these days have heard the old tales of bizarre methods like soap in the mouth for punishment, but you almost certainly won’t find any modern-day parent using those older techniques. Yelling at children is another one. And William and Kate have chosen not to raise their voices when parenting their young kids.</p>
<p id=”par-4_102″>“Things are explained and consequences outlined, and they never shout at them,” a source close to the Prince and Princess of Wales told <a href=”https://www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous/11953934/kate-middleton-prince-william-chat-sofa-naughty-step-discipline-george-charlotte-louis/”>Fabulous Magazine</a>. William and Kate also have a variation of timeout for their children, but it differs slightly from a standard timeout chair. Rather than sending their kids out of the room to let them think about what they did, William or Kate actually leaves the room with them, where they talk about the situation along with their child. “Shouting is absolutely ‘off limits,’” the source added, including between the kids; nobody in the family yells at each other.</p>
<p id=”par-5_35″>Of course, it’s hard to know exactly how well the techniques work in the Wales household, but it’s clear by the way <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kate-middleton-doesnt-worry-george-charlotte-louis-behavior-public-events-she-loves-to-see-them-being-kids.html/”>George and Charlotte behave in public</a> that they are certainly being taught manners.</p>

<p id=”par-6_90″>William and Kate certainly have a lot to focus on in the upcoming years, but it has not impacted their ability to parent their children. When William appeared in South Africa in early November for the Earth Shot Prize awards ceremony, he was asked when we might see more of the children at royal events. William stood firm that the kids’ education takes “priority” over any royal appearances, making clear that the media would have to wait a few years before they see the kids making more frequent royal appearances.</p>
<p id=”par-7_26″>William did add, however, that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-william-big-sign-kate-middleton-health-doing-extremely-well.html/”>he and Kate will be doing more together</a> next year and that they will likely have some “trips planned” for 2025.</p>
