<p id=”par-1_34″>Prince William and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/kate-middleton/?swcfpc=1″>Kate Middleton</a> are first in line for the British royal throne. William’s father, King Charles, serves as the current monarch, but eventually, the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-william-kate-middleton-in-no-rush-to-be-king-and-queen.html/”>Prince and Princess of Wales will take over</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-2_52″>William and Kate began dating when they were barely out of their teenage years, so they’ve grown into their royal roles together. However, there is one aspect of this life — and it’s perhaps the biggest aspect of all — that William and Kate actually wish they didn’t have to deal with.</p>

<p id=”par-3_54″>The British royal family is one of the most famous families in the world. Their legacy has been around for centuries, and William and Kate just happen to be this generation’s <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-william-may-be-first-line-throne-but-he-doesnt-lie-awake-night-waiting-be-king.html/”>future king and queen</a>. However, the work they do isn’t mean to come with all of the pomp and circumstance that surrounds them.</p>
<p id=”par-4_60″>William and Kate do constant charity work. They’re patrons of a number of beneficial organizations throughout the United Kingdom and the world, and that’s the work they want their fame to focus on. However, it seems everyone is concerned with many other things about the royals outside of that true purpose, and William and Kate wish this weren’t the case.</p>
<p id=”par-5_65″>“Neither of the prince or the princess would choose to be public figures,” former royal aide Jason Knauf told <em>60 Minutes Australia</em>. “They’re not that interested in the fame and celebrity that comes with it. In fact, not really interested at all. I think that makes it quite interesting in today’s world to see people out there doing their jobs but for the right reasons.”</p>

<p id=”par-6_73″>William and Kate share three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. But the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-william-kate-middleton-keep-kids-under-wraps-2025.html/”>Wales kids don’t see the spotlight</a> too often, and that could be because William and Kate don’t actually enjoy their fame. They likely don’t want to expose the children to it at too young of an age because they want the kids to enjoy as much of their lives as possible before the public knows their every move.</p>
<p id=”par-7_75″>“With both of these people, the prince and the princess, what you see is what you really get behind the scenes as well,” Knauf said of William and Kate behind the scenes. Of course, William and Kate understand that fame is just a part of the package, but it seems they would rather that fame at least focus more on the work they do rather than what they wear or who they hang out with.</p>
