The Prince and Princess of Wales have, according to a royal author, told the king <em>exactly</em> what they want when it comes to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kate-middleton-royal-duties-wont-look-expected-steering-new-course-balancing-work-life.html/”>royal duties</a> and raising a family. Hint: It’s all about “balancing.” </p>

<p id=”par-2_60″>Life is a “balancing” act for the Prince and Princess of Wales, and they’ve made that “clear” to King Charles III. Speaking to Hello! Magazine (via <a href=”https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1995634/william-kate-make-feelings-clear” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Express</a>), author Robert Jobson said, “William and Catherine have made it clear to the King that they are committed to balancing royal duties with family life and it will be the same this year.”</p>
<p id=”par-3_31″>So no new approach to royal life and raising their children, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/prince-george/”>Prince George</a>, 11, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/princess-charlotte/”>Princess Charlotte</a>, 9, and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/prince-louis/”>Prince Louis</a>, 6, for the future king and queen as 2025 gets underway. </p>
<p id=”par-4_52″>A source echoed Jobson’s comments, telling the <a href=”https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/royals/article-14249903/Kate-comeback-plans-insiders-reveal-Princess-Wales-priorities.html”>Daily Mail</a>’s royal correspondent, Rebecca English: “Both Their Royal Highnesses have a strong commitment to duty, service and using their platform for good. But what they are working on is ways they can balance themselves as parents with being the Prince and Princess of Wales.” </p>

<p id=”par-5_71″>What William and Kate want, as Hardman explained, is for “George—as well as Charlotte and Louis—to grow into well-adjusted adults, ready for the role when the time comes.” So, become “well-adjusted” and <em>then</em> take on the responsibilities of representing the monarchy. For George that means preparing to someday take the throne because he’s William’s heir. Meanwhile, Charlotte and Louis will have to carve out what their own royal roles look like. </p>
<p id=”par-6_33″>Until then the day-to-day involves William and Kate driving their kids to and from school. (George, Charlotte, and Louis go to Lambrook School near the Wales family’s Adelaide Cottage home in Windsor, England.) </p>

And, of course, getting them used to moments in the royal spotlight, namely as they carry out royal family traditions such as Trooping the Colour and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-william-children-cant-anything-stand-back-wait-kate-mesmerizes-hundreds-people.html/”>walking to church on Christmas Day</a>. </p>

<p id=”par-8_50″>School is set to look different for the Wales kids in the coming years. Why? Because George, who turns 12 in July 2025, won’t be at Lambrook School with his sister and brother. The reason is because he’ll have aged out and be headed for boarding school when he’s 13. </p>
<p id=”par-9_32″>After reports the future king might follow in his father’s footsteps and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-george-going-boarding-school-like-eton-sad-royal-expert-says.html/”>attend Eton College</a>, a prestigious all-boys boarding school, came reports George would go to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kate-middletons-getting-final-say-prince-georges-boarding-school-future-way-involves-princess-charlotte.html/”>Kate’s co-ed alma mater</a>, Marlborough College. </p>
<p id=”par-10_32″>Kensington Palace hasn’t made an official announcement about where Goerge will go to school, however, royal expert Jennie Bond told OK! Magazine (via <a href=”https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/royals/kate-middleton-prince-william-made-34416813″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Mirror</a>) William and Kate have probably already decided. </p>
<p id=”par-11_38″>“[It’s] a big year for George,” she said. “I imagine the decision about where he goes next has been pretty much sealed by now.” Her guess? Wellington College, an “ideal” choice for George and someday Charlotte and Louis. </p>
<p id=”par-12_39″>“It’s only half an hour from Windsor; the pupils can board (full-time or weekly) or be day students,” she said. “And, a huge plus…it’s co-educational, which means all three could go there in the future. Sounds ideal to me!”</p>
<p id=”par-13_37″>Bond called it a “wise decision” for William and Kate to keep George, Charlotte, and Louis <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-georges-very-tight-relationship-princess-charlotte-change-goes-eton-expert.html/”>together at school</a>. “[It’s] very much proved to be the case, especially during this past difficult year” of Kate’s cancer treatment. </p>
<p id=”par-14_37″>“It must have been a huge comfort for the three of them to be together at school when life at home was so full of anxiety however much William and Catherine tried to shield them,” she said. </p>
