<p id=”par-3_65″>Meghan had been widely expected accompany Harry on his latest trip home – in what would be her first visit to the U.K. since 2022 – along with her and Harry’s children. However, over the weekend, there were reports that the visit had been <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/distraught-prince-harry-now-looking-into-other-options-request-police-protection-u-k-trip-denied.html/”>canceled over security concerns</a>. Then, a few days later, it seemed that the trip was back on, according to <a href=”https://www.the-independent.com/news/uk/home-news/prince-harry-uk-visit-meghan-markle-archie-lilibet-live-updates-b3012470.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Independent</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-4_56″>Whether or not Meghan and the kids end up joining him on his trip, Harry is making it clear that they’re the most important people in his life. During a chat with Alison Hammond on <em>This Morning, </em>she asked the prince if his wife and kids told him “every day” that they were proud of him. </p>
<p id=”par-5_26″>“They don’t tell me every day that they’re proud of me. But yeah, I’m proud of them. They’re proud of me,” Harry replied (via <a href=”https://www.gbnews.com/royal/prince-archie-princess-lilibet-british-tv-prince-harry-confession” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>GB News</a>). </p>

<p id=”par-8_30″>“By the way, my kids love <em>Junior Bakeoff</em>,” he said, referring to the kid-friendly take on the <em>Great British Baking Show. </em>(Hammond hosts the grown-up version of the popular series.) </p>
<p id=”par-9_6″>“Stop it! Do they?” she replied</p>
<p id=”par-10_21″>“Absolutely love it. And I love it as well,” Harry said. “It’s far better than the grown-up version,” he added jokingly.</p>
<p id=”par-11_31″><em>Junior Bakeoff </em>isn’t the only think keeping Harry’s kids entertained these days. During a visit to Birmingham Children’s Hospital on Thursday, he spoke with a young patient about Archie’s latest fixation. </p>
<p id=”par-12_18″>“Do you know who’s obsessed with Lego? My son, Archie — and he’s a master builder,” Harry said. </p>
<p id=”par-13_107″>The official reason for Harry’s latest U.K. visit is to draw attention to the Invictus Games. The Prince founded the games in 2014 as a way to recognize wounded, injured, and sick military service personnel. But the trip has a dual purpose, with Harry reportedly hoping to arrange a meeting between his father, King Charles III, and his two children. Insiders say that Charles is also keen to connect with his young grandchildren, whom he has not seen in years. But Harry’s insistence that his family receive the kind of high-level security protection that is typically only granted to working royals has made coordinating a visit difficult. </p>
<p id=”par-14_71″>Harry “assumed that because he was bringing the kids, and the king had made a royal residence available to them, he would get what he has been pushing for all along – full-time police protection.” a source told <a href=”https://www.vanityfair.com/story/meghan-markle-cancels-london-trip-plans” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Vanity Fair</a>. “That has not been the case … The king has made it clear that while he wants to see his estranged son and grandchildren, he will not intervene in security matters.”</p>
