<p id=”par-1_41″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/meghan-markle/?swcfpc=1″>Meghan Markle</a>‘s long-anticipated lifestyle show debuted on <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/netflix/?swcfpc=1″>Netflix</a> in early March. But many of the reviews for <em>With Love, Meghan </em>haven’t been good as the series received a dismal score on <a href=”https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/with_love_meghan/s01/reviews?type=user” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Rotten Tomatoes</a>, earning a green splat with many calling it “boring” and “fake.” </p>
<p id=”par-2_28″>Now, adding to that “fake” chatter is what a commentator and several other viewers noticed in one episode in which Meghan is talking about herself a lot. </p>
<p id=”par-3_23″>Here’s what producers reportedly had to do to make the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/meghan-markle-getting-residual-checks-suits-surprise-streaming-success.html/”>former <em>Suits</em> star</a> look like she “has interest in something other than herself.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_31″>It became obvious to some watching <em>With Love, Meghan</em> that producers stepped in and added voiceovers of <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/prince-harry-was-able-to-marry-meghan-markle-because-she-didnt-do-this-1-thing-in-her-past.html/”>Prince Harry’s wife</a> to make it seem like she was asking her guests questions.</p>
<p id=”par-5_70″>In episode two titled “Welcome to the Party,” Meghan invited actor Mindy Kaling into the rented home used in the series and spent most of the time talking about her life whilst Kaling continuosly complimented Meghan. As the episode draws towards the end, a clip cuts to Kaling talking about her childhood after Meghan, believed to dubbed, asked: “What kind of things did you like to do as a kid?”</p>
<p id=”par-6_30″><a href=”https://www.megynkelly.com/2025/03/07/megyn-kelly-breaks-down-the-what-is-wrong-with-meghan-markles-netflix-series/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>On her podcast</a>, commentator and media personality Megyn Kelly talked about the Duchess of Sussex’s interactions with her guests and the editing fail that can be seen as a “break.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_77″>“If you look at the first couple of episodes, every comment [Meghan] makes is about herself … ‘Uncle Daniel’ is there, there is the Argentinian woman, there is a chef she brings in, Mindy Kaling, and there are no questions or comments about them,” Kelly noted. “Except there is one question in episode two … voiced over … Anything she asks of the guest was laid in after the fact. You can see the break (edit).” </p>
<p id=”par-8_30″>Kelly added: “It is like someone had to coach her on how to be a normal person who is an actual friend, who has interest in something other than themselves.”</p>

<p id=”par-9_33″>Kelly also has a theory that Meghan’s “insecurities” are why she needed to be complimented so much by all of her “friends” and why everything had to look perfect throughout the show. </p>
<p id=”par-10_112″>Kelly explained: “She is the most insecure person I have seen in the public eye in a long time … The biggest absurdity of this whole thing was just how over-the-top perfect everything has to be around her. I mean, who the hell picks berries in a white cashmere sweater and white pants? Literally, no one on earth does that … We are all supposed to go out to our gardens … and pick our berries … and cut our mint and then cut our flowers that are edible. But don’t worry, she is a woman of the people. You can grow those just on your windowsill at home in New York.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_81″>Kelly continued: “That is why George Clooney was at her wedding. She didn’t have family. She didn’t have lifelong friends … Everything is artifice. The show is artifice, her life is artifice, and that is what this deep insecurity is all about. I have no friends, I have no people, I only have the next station to reach, and, therefore, you can’t have the f****** blueberry fall on the floor; you can’t have the white outfit get a speck on it.”</p>
