<p id=”par-2_51″>David Eason and Jenelle Evans can’t officially file for divorce yet, but Evans recently took steps to ensure her soon-to-be-ex can’t contact her. According to <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.theashleysrealityroundup.com/2024/12/02/exclusive-jenelle-evans-gets-protective-order-against-estranged-husband-david-eason-renewed-for-two-years-is-not-awarded-temporary-custody-of-their-daughter/” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Ashley Reality Roundup Group</a>, Evans appeared in court on November 22 to request that a judge issue a new order of protection against David Eason.</p>

<p id=”par-3_65″>A judge granted<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jenelle-evans-granted-a-restraining-order-but-not-before-she-was-chastised-by-the-judge.html/”> a temporary order of protection </a>against the troubled North Carolina resident in May. Back in May, a judge told both Evans and Eason that they hoped the order would not need to be extended, hoping they would proceed with their divorce amicably. Apparently, that did not happen. The original order of protection expired<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jenelle-evans-spotted-back-in-north-carolina-as-restraining-order-against-david-eason-is-set-to-expire.html/”> in mid-November.</a> Evans returned to court seeking further protection.</p>

<p id=”par-4_74″>Evans argued in the latest court hearing that she was still fearful of David Eason. Her lawyer argued that Eason has continued to be menacing towards Evans and her children despite the order of protection. Her team pointed to Eason’s early November arrest for trespassing as proof that he has continued to target Evans despite police involvement. A judge agreed with Evans. Eason has been ordered to stay away from Evans for two years.</p>

<p id=”par-5_53″>While the initial protection order expired, not much about the new, extended order is different. According to The Ashley, Eason is still barred from contacting Evans or two of her three minor children. He is also banned from talking about Evans on social media. He is not allowed on or near her property.</p>

<p id=”par-6_77″>The original order included protection for Ensley Eason, the only child Evans and Eason shared. The newest order, however, does not include the 7-year-old. Eason’s ability to contact Ensley is being addressed in a separate court case. The youngster lives with her mother<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jenelle-evans-instagram-activity-suggests-her-move-to-las-vegas-was-a-big-mistake.html/”> in Las Vegas</a>. Eason has remained in North Carolina with his new girlfriend, Kenleigh Heatwole. It is unclear if Eason has spoken to or seen the child since his February 2024 split from Evans.</p>
<p id=”par-7_73″>Eason currently has two criminal cases to contend with, and both of them involve the Evans family. Eason is awaiting trial for child abuse and a felony strangulation charge. Those charges are in connection to a 2023 incident involving Jace Evans, Jenelle Evans’ teen son. He is also expected back in court on trespassing charges.
