Ventura filed a lawsuit against Combs in November 2023 alleging that Combs was physically and sexually abusive to her during their relationship, which lasted from 2007 to 2018. <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/cassies-settlement-sean-diddy-combs-will-massively-affect-net-worth.html/”>Combs and Ventura settled</a> the following day, but this marked <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/cassie-sean-p-diddy-combs-ex-spotted-smiling-waving-arrest.html/”>the beginning of Combs’ downfall</a>. As of the start of October 2024, hundreds of new assault allegations against Combs have rolled in. </p>
<p id=”par-3_41″>Before Homeland Security raided Combs’ properties, Cannon commented on the situation between Combs and Ventura. Combs and Cannon sustained a friendship, which he discussed as a guest star on the <em>Way Up With Angela Yee</em> podcast, according to <a href=”https://www.etonline.com/nick-cannons-comments-about-diddy-and-cassie-resurface-after-house-raids-222744″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Entertainment Tonight</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-4_45″>“I find it difficult when I’m asked about people I know,” Cannon said in 2023. “… They asked me about Puff, and I answered it as honestly as I knew how to answer it. I know these people. They’re not just public figures to me.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_33″>Cannon added that he was “sitting back praying and hoping for the best” with the situation between Combs and Ventura. However, when he heard of Combs’ abusive actions against Ventura, “You’re like, damn.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_36″>“As we watch it, we’re watching it in real-time, and we don’t know how to feel because, one, we don’t know the truth … we don’t know everything,” he continued. “And when it’s revealed, it’ll be revealed.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_65″>Cannon reflected on this conversation during a 2024 episode of his podcast, <em>Counsel Culture</em>. Cannon explained how Combs supported him in the past, putting him in a tricky position to call the mogul out for the Ventura lawsuit. “So, I have to almost do this dance about [it] when it comes up,” Cannon said. “Because just as much as I know Diddy, I know Cassie.”</p>

<p id=”par-9_38″>“I’ve even been at one when I was a kid,” he said on <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DA-4O9EBfER/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”><em>The Breakfast Club</em></a> podcast in October 2024. “Like, 16, 17. … I remember standing outside, trying to get into a Puff party out here in New York.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_58″>Cannon noted that “Bad Boy parties were official in New York in the late ’90s,” but celebrities now get scared to talk about them, as “they probably got something to hide.” While Cannon didn’t go into detail regarding what he saw at the parties, he noted that he never drank alcohol or did drugs while in attendance. </p>
