<p id=”par-1_77″><em><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/saturday-night-live/?swcfpc=1″>Saturday Night Live</a></em>‘s 50th anniversary special featured nostalgic sketches, live performances, and celebrity guests. The extra-long episode thoroughly entertained viewers, with some stars seeing the lion’s share of red-carpet attention. Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy attended <em>SNL50</em> with their dates in tow. With the A-list actors <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/celebrity-relationships/”>portraying electrifying chemistry</a> in <em>The Gorge</em>, which premiered on Apple TV+ on Valentine’s Day, some fans were surprised to learn that both are committed to others and close friends at that.</p>

<p id=”par-2_87″><em>The Gorge</em> centers on two elite snipers (Teller and Taylor-Joy) stationed on opposing sides of a spooky gorge, tasked with preventing an unknown evil from emerging. As filming began for the sci-fi horror action movie in March 2023, Taylor-Joy and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/top-gun-maverick-director-gave-miles-teller-photoshopped-mustache-pitch-tom-cruise.html/”>Teller performed many</a> of their own stunts. This included a fight with the gorge’s evils in a Jeep suspended over a cliff. Many viewers felt they could cut the pair’s sexual tension with a knife during <em>The Gorge</em>‘s steamier scenes. However, the reality is anything but sexy.</p>

<p id=”par-3_67″>During an interview, Teller shared that his connection to Taylor-Joy “goes back pretty far.” Taylor-Joy explained to <a href=”https://people.com/miles-teller-jokes-anya-taylor-joy-spouses-quadruple-exclusive-9603334″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>PEOPLE</a>, “We share an agent, so I had heard of Miles for a long time before I had met him …” Taylor-Joy elaborated, “And then we met, and that was the same night that I met <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/miles-teller-wife-actor-says-life-lot-less-stressful-after-marriage.html/”>his delightful wife [Keleigh Sperry Teller]</a>, who is now one of my best friends.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_48″>“There’s nobody like [Taylor-Joy],” Miles told <em><a href=”https://www.eonline.com/news/1412933/miles-teller-details-wife-keleighs-really-tight-bond-with-anya-taylor-joy” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>E! News</a></em>. “We have fun and she gets along really well with my wife. They have this really tight-knit bond.” The <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/top-gun-maverick-director-reveals-everything-wanted-top-gun-sequel-besides-tom-cruise.html/”><em>Top Gun: Maverick</em></a> star explained that he’s always “just hanging in the background” when Taylor-Joy and Sperry Teller spend time together. </p>
<p id=”par-5_43″>In fact, when Anya’s husband of two years, Malcolm McRae, joins the group, they’re practically a “quadruple,” Teller joked with PEOPLE. “I don’t know what it’s called … a throuple is three people,” he pondered jokingly. “That might come out wrong in text.”</p>

<p id=”par-6_57″>The friendship made things “easy” on set for Teller and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/anya-taylor-joy-explains-devastating-breakup-experienced-before-filming-emma.html/”>Taylor-Joy</a> as they “spent a lot of time together, and we’re all friends.” It also made things fun when the group attended the <em>SNL50</em> anniversary celebration. The foursome paused for photos together on the red carpet and enjoyed the show, which included throwback sketches and live performances.</p>

<p id=”par-7_73″>With a nine-year age difference between Teller, 37, and Taylor-Joy, 28, their spouses bridge the gap. Keleigh is 32 and McRae is 30. The former met Teller in May 2013 at a Grammy afterparty for The Black Keys. The two hit it off immediately and dated for four years <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/miles-teller-managed-surprise-wife-romantic-proposal.html/”>before the <em>Whiplash</em> actor proposed</a> in 2017 while on a South African safari. Miles and Keleigh married on September 1, 2019, in Maui, Hawaii.</p>
