<p id=”par-2_34″>On the latest installment of her regular “Fridays With Friends” social media update, Meri opened up about an upsetting past incident where Kody clearly favored his new wife Robyn over his first wife Meri.</p>

<p id=”par-3_46″>On Jan. 31, Meri took to <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DFggC-COErD/?hl=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> for another live chat with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sister-wives-kody-brown-salty-response-meri-brown-jenn-nsfw-comment-friendship.html/”>her bestie Jenn Sullivan</a>. As usual, the conversation turned to Kody. Jenn urged Meri to share a story about a painful incident that occurred when the Brown family was still living in Las Vegas. </p>
<p id=”par-4_20″>Meri explained that there was an artist whose work she admired. One day, she and Kody visited the artist’s gallery. </p>
<p id=”par-5_15″>“I really like the artist. [Kody] was making a payment on” a piece, she recalled. </p>
<p id=”par-6_18″>But if Meri thought Kody was going to surprise her with a nice gift, she was dead wrong. </p>
<p id=”par-7_39″>“Not for me. I was like, ‘I like this one, and I love that one.’ And he was like, ‘Oh, this one I just bought for Robyn. You can go to her house and look at it,’” Meri shared. </p>
<p id=”par-8_6″>Jenn was horrified by Kody’s behavior. </p>
<p id=”par-9_14″>“Why didn’t you just push him off a cliff? That’s justifiable homicide,” she joked.</p>
<p id=”par-10_6″>“It was not nice,” Meri said. </p>

<p id=”par-11_43″>Elsewhere in the conversation, Meri discussed her current relationship with Kody. The pair ended their spiritual marriage in early 2023 and initially managed to remain on relatively cordial terms, despite the split. But recently, their dynamic has taken a turn for the worse. </p>
<p id=”par-12_37″>In the Jan. 19 episode of <em>Sister Wives, </em>Kody complained about Meri’s friendship with Jenn, calling her a “mean girl” and saying that she needed to “ditch the bitches.” His nasty comments didn’t sit well with Meri. </p>
<p id=”par-13_51″>“I’m so, so frustrated. Because I truly did <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/janelle-brown-says-meri-brown-seems-really-happy-in-her-post-divorce-life.html/”>want an amicable divorce</a>. And things just keep happening that, like, I will push back,” she said. “You don’t get to call my friends the things that you call my friends and I will push back. I’m probably not the favorite ex anymore.”</p>
<p id=”par-14_17″>Meri also hinted that there was ongoing behind-the-scenes drama that wouldn’t be seen by <em>Sister Wives </em>fans<em>.</em></p>
<p id=”par-15_16″>“Some things happened recently. You’re not going to see it on a future episode,” she said. </p>
<p id=”par-16_35″>The latest dustup with her former husband forced Meri to reflect on her own actions. While she didn’t go into details of what was said, she did reveal that she didn’t handle the conversation well. </p>
<p id=”par-17_23″>“It was a conversation that I am not proud of,” she admitted, adding that she “allowed myself to fall back into trauma responses.”<em> </em></p>
<p id=”par-18_35″>Meri’s solution? She said she realized she needs to continue to “distance” herself from Kody. Now, she has a new mantra when it comes to dealing with her ex-husband: “You don’t need to try anymore.”</p>
