<p id=”par-1_74″>The reviews for <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/meghan-markle/?swcfpc=1″>Meghan Markle</a>‘s new lifestyle show on <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/netflix/?swcfpc=1″>Netflix</a> are in and they’re likely not what the Duchess of Sussex had hoped for. It doesn’t come as a complete shock that most critics in Britain have slammed the show, but some major publications in the U.S. are roasting the series too. And, the majority of Rotten Tomatoes reviews are negative with a rating of only one star or just a half star. Ouch!</p>
<p id=”par-2_29″>Here’s more on what’s being said so far about <em>With Love, Meghan</em> including <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/meghan-markle-getting-residual-checks-suits-surprise-streaming-success.html/”>the <em>Suits</em> alum</a> being blasted for not being able to cook on a cooking show. </p>

<p id=”par-3_27″>A common complaint from a lot of reviewers on <a href=”https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/with_love_meghan/s01/reviews?type=user”>Rotton Tomatoes</a> is just how “fake” and “inauthentic” every episode of <em>With Love, Meghan </em>felt to watch. </p>
<p id=”par-4_12″>So what did those who review programs for a living think? </p>

<p id=”par-5_71″>Well, <a href=”https://variety.com/2025/tv/reviews/with-love-meghan-markle-netflix-duchess-of-sussex-1236327469/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Variety</a> called it “A Montecito ego trip not worth taking … The grind, for a star for whom this show may represent a last stand at holding on to her place in the public eye, never stops … That’s because <em>With Love, Meghan</em> exists as a sort of celebration of all things Duchess of Sussex — and, as with past of her media outings, no amount of praise seems enough.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_51″>According to <a href=”https://decider.com/2025/03/04/meghan-markle-show-with-love-meghan-review/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Decider</a> reviewers, it’s “less Martha Stewart, more Marie Antoinette” and recommended to <a href=”https://decider.com/2025/03/04/with-love-meghan-markle-netflix-review/”>skip</a> as it’s “not a show with a specific how-to point of view, nor does it even show us anything real about Meghan’s life … a disappointment for those of us hoping for something more authentic. SKIP IT.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_95″>And that’s just reviews from a couple of American publications, which are less harsh than the outlets in the U.K. For just a taste of those, here’s how <a href=”https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/2022236/meghan-markles-unbearable-netflix-show” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Express</a> described the show: “Too much effort! Far too much. <em>With Love, Meghan</em> is almost unbearable. It’s clear the duchess can’t cook, bake, bee-keep, or make bath salts. Her producers might think it’s endearingly authentic to watch her ham-fistedly stirring pasta or chopping veggies in a ‘ladybug’ shape. It isn’t. It’s boring, insulting to any vestige of intelligence we might possess, and a monumental waste of time.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_34″>Regarding Meghan’s kitchen skills, <a href=”https://www.vogue.com/article/meghan-markle-with-love-meghan-review” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Vogue</a> did point out how odd it was for the duchess to admit that she “hates baking” while teaching viewers how to make a honey lemon cake with berries. </p>

<p id=”par-9_17″>Another strong reaction came from LA-based commentator and <em>To Di For Daily</em> podcast host Kinsey Schofield. </p>
<p id=”par-10_73″>On the U.K. show <em><a href=”https://cdn.jwplayer.com/previews/QvBYpi8M” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Good Morning Britain</a></em>, Schofield was asked for her reaction to <em>With Love, Meghan</em> and had this to say: “[The show] lacks authenticity, it’s too controlled, too glossy, and too produced. There’s no question in my mind that this is primarily a PR exercise to change public perception as she’s been labeled a bully for the last four years. Most recently in the January issue of Vanity Fair Magazine. </p>
