<p id=”par-2_72″>The reality TV host has made no secret that she wants couples who meet on the show to start having babies. Lachey’s wish finally came true earlier this April, when <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/love-is-blind-zack-reveals-meeting-bliss-dad-edited-out-connection.html/”>Bliss Poureetezadi and Zack Goytowski</a> from season 4 welcomed a baby daughter. Then, in July, season 3’s Alexa and Brennon Lemiuex became parents when she gave birth to a daughter. Now, another <em>Love Is Blind </em>couple is preparing for a little one’s arrival. </p>

<p id=”par-3_34″>Amber Pike, 32, and Matt Barnett, 34, are an OG <em>Love Is Blind </em>couple. They met and fell in love during the show’s first season, which was filmed in 2018 and aired in 2020. </p>
<p id=”par-4_32″>Though the pair has kept a low profile since their time on the Netflix reality series, their romance has been going strong. And soon, they’ll be adding another member to their family. </p>
<p id=”par-5_32″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/love-is-blind-matt-sold-his-home-to-pay-off-ambers-student-loan-debt.html/”>Matt and Amber</a> shared their happy news during an appearance on the first episode of <em>The Love Seat </em>(via <a href=”https://youtu.be/2bMPi1mKgXI?feature=shared”>YouTube</a>)<em>, </em>a new podcast from fellow season 1 couple Lauren and Cameron Hamilton. </p>
<p id=”par-6_12″>“Over summer break, he just went and knocked me up,” Amber revealed. </p>

<p id=”par-7_33″>During the 2021 <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/love-is-blind-jessica-says-theres-still-tension-with-barnett-and-amber.html/”><em>Love Is Blind: After the Altar </em>special</a>, Matt said Amber was ready to have kids. He was also interested in starting a family but had concerns that they weren’t ready. </p>
<p id=”par-8_30″>“I do [want to be a dad],” he said. “But where we live now, it’s an apartment complex. I’m not really wanting to have a kid at an apartment, basically.” </p>
<p id=”par-9_38″>Although Matt and Amber had discussed having a baby, her pregnancy wasn’t something they’d actively planned for. The <em>Love Is Blind </em>alums were focused on career changes and going back to school when they discovered she was expecting. </p>
<p id=”par-10_95″>“We got a lot of things going on,” Amber said when Lauren asked where things stood with them in 2024. “Going back to school. Matt’s got a new job … he’s in sales now and doing his thing and working up with that and really enjoying that. I went back to school. Finally decided on something else I want to do .. sent myself back to school because I felt like we were in a place where I could do that. I had the support and I was mentally there where I could do that.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_13″>Learning she was about to be a mom was “very unexpected,” Amber admitted. </p>
<p id=”par-12_38″>The couple didn’t provide any details about the baby’s due date or gender. But in a video montage of his and Amber’s relationship Matt posted on <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DA351IZvRTD/”>Insta</a><a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DA351IZvRTD/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>g</a><a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DA351IZvRTD/”>ram</a>, he did share an image of himself cradling his wife’s bump. </p>
