<p id=”par-1_19″>Lorrana from <em>Seeking Sister Wife </em>is “going through a difficult time,” she confessed in a recent Instagram Story post.</p>
<p id=”par-2_41″>On April 16, Lorrana – who <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/seeking-sister-wife-merrifields-after-season-6.html/”>married Garrick Merrifield</a> in the latest season of the TLC series about polygamous families – took to <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/iamloorrana/”>social media</a> to reveal that she was “looking for a referral to a family attorney who speaks Portuguese.” </p>

<p id=”par-3_33″>The native of Brazil didn’t share why she was looking for a lawyer. But late last year, she was involved in a domestic dispute with Garrick, with whom she shares a young daughter.</p>
<p id=”par-4_17″>“If you can recommend trustworthy professionals or share helpful information, I would really appreciate it,” she wrote. </p>
<p id=”par-5_95″>In a follow-up post (via <a href=”https://www.theashleysrealityroundup.com/2026/04/17/seeking-sister-wife-star-lorrana-merrifield-reveals-shes-seeking-family-attorney-hints-at-split-from-husband-garrick/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Ashley’s Reality Roundup</a>), Lorrana said that she had “truly dedicated myself to a big change in my life,” referring to her decision to move to the U.S. to become Garrick’s second wife. The pair married in October 2024. They welcomed a daughter in July 2025. (Garrick legally divorced his first wife, Dannielle Merrifield, in an earlier season of <em>Seeking Sister Wife </em>so he could move forward with his plan to marry a different Brazilian woman. That relationship did not work out, leading him to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/garrick-and-dannielle-merrifield-court-another-brazilian-woman-in-new-season-of-seeking-sister-wife.html/”>pursue things with Lorran</a>a.) </p>
<p id=”par-6_60″>“I never imagined leaving my country, believing in a new beginning, building plans, and fully investing myself in this new chapter of my life,” Lorrana added. “Today I am going through a difficult time while trying to reorganize and rebuild my life. It is an emotionally heavy process, but I am trying to take it one day at a time.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_22″>“It is difficult to understand how something that was once called ‘family’ can be redefined so quickly after a separation,” she continued. </p>
<p id=”par-8_49″>Lorrana did not specifically mention Garrick or Dannielle in her post. And in a subsequent update on her Instagram Story she her would “prefer not to go into further details about the situation, as I want to protect myself and handle everything in the best possible way going forward.” </p>
<p id=”par-9_15″>“I am praying that everything will be resolved in the best possible way,” she wrote. </p>

<p id=”par-10_46″>Garrick has not publicly responded to Lorrana’s post. On April 9, Dannielle shared in an <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DW5nDyNCQiD/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> update that she was focusing on her health after welcoming her third child with Garrick in 2023. She also said she was relying on her faith in a difficult time. </p>
<p id=”par-11_21″>“Life has been a bit challenging lately,” she wrote. “But even in every trial and struggle God has a perfect plan.”</p>
