Payne reportedly died after falling three stories from a balcony at the CasaCur Palermo Hotel in Argentina. According to police reports, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/liam-payne-death-haunting-photos-buenos-aires-hotel-heartbroken-fans-mourn-outside-casasur-palermo.html/”>drugs and alcohol were found on the premises</a>, and guests and hotel workers who saw Payne before his death noted his erratic behavior. </p>
<p id=”par-3_49″>A hotel guest known as Rebecca said she had an interaction with Payne at the hotel before his death. According to <a href=”https://www.themirror.com/entertainment/celebrity-news/liam-payne-haunting-admission-guest-756046″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Mirror US</a>, Rebecca said Payne appeared “desperate” for others to recognize him. He allegedly introduced himself to other guests waiting for an elevator by announcing, “I’m Liam.”</p>

<p id=”par-6_33″>American tourist Michael Fleishmann told the <a href=”https://buenosairesherald.com/society/liam-payne-argued-with-a-woman-hours-before-his-death-witnesses-say” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Buenos Aires Herald</a> that he witnessed an offputting exchange between Liam Payne and a woman at the hotel. According to Fleishmann, Payne kept offering a woman $20,000. </p>
<p id=”par-7_36″>“I’ll give you $20,000 just because I can,” Payne allegedly said. “I have $55 million and I like to help people.” Payne “seemed very upset, agitated, a little wild, walking around and pacing” during the exchange.</p>
<p id=”par-8_53″>The Spanish-speaking woman “looked like she was extremely uncomfortable with him, and a little apprehensive,” Fleishmann’s mother told the publication. “It was just my son, me, Liam Payne, the woman, and the staff. The manager was trying to politely intervene or calm him down. There was a feeling of anxiety in the area.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_47″>“The situation definitely felt very tense,” Fleishmann continued. He then noted that he and his mother headed back up to their room as Payne took the elevator. “He kind of pushed my arm out of the way. That’s the last I saw him,” the guest concluded. </p>

<p id=”par-10_35″>A source told <a href=”https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/12702538/liam-payne-friends-intervention-concerned-drink-drug-fall/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The U.S. Sun</a> that Liam Payne’s friends had been worried about him leading up to his death. They allegedly planned to stage an intervention for his drinking and suspected drug use. </p>
<p id=”par-11_54″>“His friends have been worried about him for weeks because he was struggling with his career and wanted to release some new music but he felt he wasn’t as good as his other bandmates, which they kept telling him just wasn’t true. He was just always so hard on himself,” the source said. </p>
<p id=”par-12_35″>The insider added that Payne’s friends were “heartbroken” to see him in such a dark place following his record label dropping him, but they “just didn’t know how to go about staging a proper intervention.”</p>
