<p id=”par-2_61″>Sean “Diddy” Combs is in hot water following his arrest. Accusers allege that Combs kidnapped, drugged, and coerced women during his infamous “freak-offs” — filmed sex parties that happened in the early morning hours following parties at his home. When Homeland Security agents raided Combs’ properties in March 2024, they confiscated film footage that shows what happened at Combs’ parties. </p>
<p id=”par-3_52″>Combs pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, and he currently has a trial date set. However, attorney Tony Buzbee says his firm is still receiving calls in connection to Combs’ case. Buzbee explained that there are “two buckets” of people calling his firm, and he expects the indictment to grow.</p>
<p id=”par-4_63″>“The first bucket is individuals, young people, trying to break into the entertainment industry, whether it be acting, singing, dancing — that sort of thing,” Buzbee explained to the <a href=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aK3G5asaDhs” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Law&Crime Network</a>. “People who are recruited by affiliates of Sean Combs or others by his group.” Buzbee noted that he has one individual who was allegedly sexually assaulted after auditioning at Combs’ studio. </p>
<p id=”par-5_88″>“The larger bucket is just people who are identified in a crowd, on the street, in a club, recruited to come to parties and get to the party and are drugged and then are assaulted,” the attorney continued. ” … The MO’s the same, but the group of people is a little bit different. You have some aspiring singers, and aspiring dancers, and actors, that group. And then you have people who were flattered to be invited to a party by somebody of Sean Combs’ stature and celebrity.”</p>

The hip-hop mogul <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sean-diddy-combs-trial-date-likely-pushed-may-2025.html/”>heads to trial on May 5, 2025</a> — as of now. Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani told the Law&Crime Network that he expects the trial to happen much later, as a “superseding indictment” might get filed involving minors. </p>
<p id=”par-7_61″>“Minors present a completely different set of circumstances,” <a href=”https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13945871/diddy-sean-combs-live-updates-court.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>DailyMail.com</a> reports Rahmani said. “We know through his lawyers, Combs is arguing that the sexual activity happened, but it was consensual. Of course, for sex trafficking, you need one of those elements: force, thought, or coercion. Obviously, minors cannot consent to any sexual activity, so that would be a very different defense entirely.”</p>

However, judges continued to deny the bail requests. The hip-hop mogul will now reside in jail until May 2025.</p>
<p id=”par-9_32″>Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo told reporters what the worst part of jail has been for Combs. “I think <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sean-diddy-combs-get-extra-food-time-cell-guards-like-former-inmate-says.html/”>the food’s probably the roughest part</a> of it,” he said, according to <a href=”https://people.com/sean-diddy-combs-food-toughest-part-life-behind-bars-8726560″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People.</a> </p>
<p id=”par-10_46″>Combs’ mother and children were in the courtroom to support Combs on Thursday, Oct. 10. “The kids were very happy to support their father,” a source told People. “The whole family was. They are united in their support, and he was happy to see them all there.”</p>
