<p id=”par-3_84″>One such outing is expected to be her annual <em>Together at Christmas</em> carol concert. (Kate’s known to attend alongside the Prince of Wales and their kids.) Held every year since 2021, the concert is typically recorded in early December leading up to a U.K. Christmas Eve broadcast.<br><br>This year will be no different—save for a venue change from Westminster Abbey to Windsor Castle—despite Kate’s cancer diagnosis. <a href=”https://people.com/kate-middleton-plans-holidays-meeting-annual-carol-service-8717965″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a> reported back in September 2024 that the carol concert would go ahead after Kate <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kate-middletons-festive-holiday-looks-planning-annual-christmas-carol-concert-reportedly-gets-underway.html/”>attended a planning meeting</a>. </p>

<p id=”par-4_22″>Speaking to OK! Magazine, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond shared why the carol concert will be a significant “milestone” for Kate. </p>
<p id=”par-5_57″>“This will obviously be a very special carol concert for Catherine, and the whole family,” Bond said (via <a href=”https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1970787/Princess-Kate-return-royal-duties-christmas-george-charlotte-louis” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Express</a>). “They will be so proud to see her back taking a leading role in one of her very own projects, and I imagine that as many members of the Royal Family as possible will join her this year.” </p>
<p id=”par-6_33″>Not only will it “be a proud moment for William” but it will also be “a joyful and reassuring one for the children” to see that their “Mom is back, doing her thing.” </p>
<p id=”par-7_47″>However, Bond also pointed out it doesn’t mean <em>everything</em>’s back to business as usual for the Wales family. “It won’t signal a return to royal duties for Catherine,” she said. “But it will certainly be an important and hugely welcome milestone along her road to full recovery.”</p>
