<p id=”par-1_56″>The Princess of Wales is nothing short of a fashion icon. <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/kate-middleton/”>Kate Middleton</a>, who married Prince William in 2011, has long been one of the most <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kate-middleton-rethinking-style-2025.html/”>influential faces in fashion</a>. When she wears something, similar looks fly off store shelves. And people constantly Google her wardrobe to see if they can find similar looks for less.</p>
<p id=”par-2_56″>Often, Kate re-wears outfits, which humanizes her a bit. She usually makes headlines when she wears a dress a few years later that’s been hanging out in her closet since its last appearance. But nobody could have expected that Kate would pull out a blazer she had kept from when she was still dating the prince.</p>

<p id=”par-3_74″>Last year, Kate took most of the year away from royal engagements to focus on her health. And in late February 2025, Kate and William took their first joint official trip in 15 months when they traveled to Wales. Kate’s outfits almost always hold some kind of symbolism during her official royal engagements, and on the trip, she wore clothes that resembled Wales’ country flag. But it was her next outfit that turned heads.</p>
<p id=”par-4_69″>Kate later stepped out in a Ralph Lauren blazer that dates all the way back to 2007. The tweed blazer was reportedly purchased by the princess when she and William were still dating, and while it’s no surprise that Kate repeated an outfit, it was definitely interesting to see that she had kept the jacket for 18 years. It makes us wonder how big the princess’ closet really is.</p>
<p id=”par-5_34″>Kate previously wore the jacket while <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kate-middleton-questioned-entire-relationship-prince-williams-2007-breakup-confession.html/”>on a date with William</a> to the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival back on March 13, 2007 — almost 18 years to the day later, she wore it again.</p>

<p id=”par-6_40″>William and Kate actually don’t love all of the fame that comes with their royal duties. And earlier this year, someone on Kate’s team revealed that her staff members don’t love how focused everyone has become on what she wears.</p>
<p id=”par-7_72″>“There is an absolute feeling that [the public work] is not about what the princess is wearing,” a person close to Kate said of <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kate-middleton-team-growing-frustrated-fashion-focus-more-important-issues.html/”>the obsession with her fashion</a>, according to <a href=”https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/2012879/princess-of-wales-clothes-kensington-palace-statement?int_source=nba”>Express</a>. “She wants the focus to be on the really important issues, the people and the causes she is spotlighting. There will always be an appreciation of what the princess is wearing from some of the public, and she gets that.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_38″>In 2024, Kate was the most-Googled woman in the world, and although that had more to do with her health than her clothing, it’s no secret that people are always extremely interested in the princess’ looks and whereabouts.</p>
