Kate retreated from the spotlight in 2024 as she underwent medical intervention for cancer.</p>
<p id=”par-3_44″>On June 15, 2024, Kate Middleton made a highly anticipated return to the public eye following a <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/kate-middleton-cancer-timeline.html/?swcfpc=1″>cancer diagnosis</a>. Six months after undergoing abdominal surgery in January, she joined her family at Trooping the Colour, marking a poignant and symbolic comeback to royal life.</p>
<p id=”par-4_23″>The royal historian said that Kate’s return to the royal spotlight appeared seamless. It also highlighted how vital she remains to the crown.</p>
<p id=”par-5_20″>Foreman explained, “She is the MVP of the royal family. No one knew when she was going to come back.”</p>

<p id=”par-8_27″>Amanda Foreman told People Magazine the couple’s union features a “sense of protectiveness and partnership.” And, it comes on the heels of a challenging set of circumstances.</p>
<p id=”par-9_49″>She added, “The last five years have been a nightmare for them in every possible way.” Events that further united Kate and William as a couple included the deaths of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/meghan-markle-kate-middleton-married-love-chased-royal-prestige-power.html/?swcfpc=1″>Prince Harry and Meghan Markle</a>‘s royal exit, and both Charles and Kate’s cancer battles.</p>
<p id=”par-10_34″>However, Kate and William remain united. Their love was apparent in a video the couple shared on Instagram in September, where they were featured alongside their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.</p>

And, on March 17, she attended the Irish Guards’ St. Patrick’s Day parade where she presented medals and shamrocks to soldiers.</p>
