West seemed to immediately fancy the reality TV star when they first crossed paths. Unfortunately for West, Kardashian was in a committed relationship at the time. Still, that didn’t stop the pair from constantly running into each other.</p>
<p id=”par-3_47″>“I met Kanye in 2002,” Kardashian said in an episode of <em>E! True Hollywood Stories</em> (via <a href=”https://people.com/tv/kanye-west-had-a-magnetic-attraction-to-kim-kardashian/”>People</a>). “He would ask everyone who I was, and they always said like ‘Oh, she has a boyfriend’. We just always kept on connecting and coming into each other’s lives.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_16″>West asserted that he was repeatedly drawn to Kardashian despite her relationship statuses at the time.</p>

<p id=”par-9_54″>Kardashian and West lasted for a long time, but didn’t last forever like they might’ve hoped. Kardashian filed for divorce from the multi-platinum artist on February 19, 2021, before divorcing him on November, 2022. In an interview with <a href=”https://www.vogue.com/article/kim-kardashian-cover-march-2022″>Vogue</a>, Kardashian confided that one of the reasons <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kanye-west-embarrassing-kim-kardashian-west-marriage-mistakes.html/”>she divorced West</a> was simply to be happy.</p>
<p id=”par-10_28″>“For so long, I did what made other people happy. And I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy,” she said.</p>
<p id=”par-11_25″>After realizing the importance of choosing herself in a relationship, Kardashian shared she was ging to dedicate the next chapter of her life to self-improvement.</p>
