<p id=”par-1_57″>The legal saga between <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/blake-livelys-drama-landed-list-behind-actress-facing-hate-public-controversies.html/”>Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively</a> continues on over a year after she filed her lawsuit. The pair were both at a Manhattan courthouse for a mediation session that failed to reach a deal. Now, they are one step closer to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/blake-lively-justin-baldoni-trial-date-set-it-ends-with-us-legal-battle.html/”>taking the case to trial</a>. Baldoni’s lawyer said he is looking forward to this.</p>

<p id=”par-2_44″>In late 2024, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/blake-lively-spent-months-preparing-backlash-ahead-filing-lawsuit.html/”>Lively sued Baldoni</a> for harassment on the set of <em>It Ends With Us</em>. She also alleged that Baldoni conducted a smear campaign against her. Baldoni responded with a lawsuit against Lively and Ryan Reynolds, but a judge dismissed it in 2025.</p>
<p id=”par-3_49″>On Feb. 11, Lively and Baldoni went to a mandatory settlement talk in New York. They were there for six hours before the two actors left separately. This is a standard part of federal procedure, but it didn’t appear that either side believed the talks would <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/blake-lively-accused-justin-baldoni-running-cult-candid-messages.html/”>actually go anywhere</a>.</p>

<p id=”par-4_23″>According to Bryan Freedman, Baldoni’s attorney, they <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/blake-livelys-lawyers-slam-claim-bully-took-ends.html/”>failed to reach a deal</a>. He said he believes they will take the case to trial.</p>
<p id=”par-5_10″>“I do,” he told <a target=”_blank” href=”https://variety.com/2026/film/news/blake-lively-justin-baldoni-mediation-1236660279/” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Variety</a>. “We’re looking forward to it.”</p>
