<p id=”par-1_72″>While the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/duggar-family/”>Duggar family</a> once had an empire built from their reality TV series on TLC, it came crashing down with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/josh-duggar/?swcfpc=1″>Josh Duggar’s</a> arrest and prison sentence. <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/a-timeline-josh-duggars-arrest-trial.html/”>Josh was sentenced to over 10 years</a> in prison after he was found guilty of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. Now, he might be putting himself in harm’s way by sporting sunglasses and name-brand sneakers while behind bars. Here’s what an attorney shared.</p>

<p id=”par-2_62″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/could-josh-duggar-pen-tell-all-book.html/”>Josh Duggar is likely one of the most famous faces</a> in <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/josh-duggar-arrived-federal-prison-serve-prison-term.html/”>FCI Seagoville in Seagoville, Texas</a>. He currently has a <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/josh-duggars-appeal-rejected-supreme-court.html/”>release date of Oct. 2, 2032</a>. In the meantime, he’s reportedly sporting goods in prison that might make him a “target” to other prisoners. Photos from late November 2024 show Josh wearing sunglasses and Under Armour sneakers while walking the prison’s track.</p>
<p id=”par-3_60″>According to <a href=”https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/13017851/josh-duggar-target-inmates-sunglasses-sneakers-prison/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The U.S. Sun</a>, Josh could not have purchased those items in the prison commissary. He likely placed a special order to have them. A source told the publication that “inmates could make special orders for sunglasses or sneakers from specific vendors.” Additionally, the inmates have to get cash from family or loved ones to complete the purchase. </p>
<p id=”par-4_78″>While Josh might enjoy his comfort items, Beverly Hills attorney Adam Michael Sacks told The U.S. Sun that they could do more harm than good. “Wearing sneakers and sunglasses is putting yourself in danger because other inmates would want to steal it from you,” Sacks explained. “You need to be aware of that kind of stuff. Sunglasses [are] a luxury in prison; if you have anything nice, other prisoners will want it. You are setting yourself for a fight.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_14″>Given Josh’s relaxed look, Sacks thinks the disgraced reality star has “status” behind bars.</p>

<p id=”par-6_36″>Attorney Adam Michael Sacks is likely correct in assuming Josh Duggar has status at FCI Seagoville. In July 2024, <a href=”https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/11967722/josh-duggar-signs-autographs-inmates-loved-ones-prison/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The U.S. Sun</a> reported that Josh was signing autographs for inmates, as they consider him a celebrity.</p>
<p id=”par-7_17″> “Josh has been signing autographs on newspaper articles about him for prisoners’ family members,” an insider alleged. </p>
<p id=”par-8_23″>Another <a href=”https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/12551693/josh-duggar-moves-remodeled-prison-dorm-special-privileges/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>source</a> told The U.S. Sun in September 2024 that Josh had new amenities and privileges, as he moved into a renovated dorm.</p>
<p id=”par-9_51″>“They finished painting the walls and getting flowers put into Dorm 6, where Josh lives,” the source alleged. “It’s been turned into an honors dorm.” Within the “honors dorm,” Josh allegedly has access to washers, dryers, and microwaves. “They’re trying to create a dorm of model inmates,” the source continued. </p>
<p id=”par-10_22″>While Josh’s previous time in the SHU should’ve disqualified him from Dorm 6, the source noted that the prison “waived” the disqualification.</p>

<p id=”par-12_37″>“Anna is still very much questioning their future,” the family insider alleged. “She took her wedding vows seriously, and she wants to stand by her man and all that, but the reality of her situation is very difficult.”</p>
