The couple found themselves in the middle of <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopez-called-1-night-sean-diddy-combs-complete-nightmare.html/”>a nightclub shooting</a> in 1999 and, after they fled the scene, Lopez spent the night in jail. She said the relationship only continued to face problems. By the time they broke up, she was certain he was cheating on her.</p>

<p id=”par-4_61″>Her mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, seemed well aware of the problems in the relationship. In 2015, Lopez appeared on <em>The Wendy Williams Show</em> and her mother sat in the audience. Williams mentioned that she always thought Lopez and Diddy could get back together. While Lopez laughed, cameras cut to Rodríguez. She mouthed “It’s done,” while making a dismissive motion with her hand.</p>

NYPD Detective Derrick Parker recalled Rodríguez coming to jail after the nightclub shooting and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopezs-mother-yelled-never-get-involved-sean-p-diddy-combs-former-detective-says.html/”>chewing out Lopez</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-8_34″>“Her mother was yelling at J.Lo in Spanish and she was really mad at Jennifer,” he told the <a target=”_blank” href=”https://nypost.com/2024/03/30/us-news/diddy-boasted-he-shot-people-used-j-lo-as-gun-mule/” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>New York Post</a>. “I heard her say, ‘I told you not to get involved with (him).’”</p>

<p id=”par-11_16″>Lopez has not publicly spoken out about these allegations, but she is <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopez-allegedly-shudders-thinking-p-diddy-not-associated.html/”>reportedly horrified by them</a>.</p>
