Unfortunately, they couldn’t make their marriage work — and they’re still stuck with their $<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopez-wants-get-investment-back-mansion-selling-ben-affleck-source-says.html/”>60 million Beverly Hills mansion</a> post-<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/ben-affleck-jennifer-lopez-finalizing-divorce-wonders-relationship-source-says.html/”>divorce finalization</a>. Despite their house remaining on the market, Lopez made a huge move and bought a new $20 million mansion of her own. Here’s how she’s going country chic with the new digs. </p>

According to <a href=”https://www.tmz.com/2025/02/21/jennifer-lopez-buys-new-house-ben-affleck-divorce/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TMZ</a>, she bought a two-and-a-half acre compound in the Hidden Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles in February 2025. The main house where she’ll reside gives her 10,046-square-feet of space — plenty of room for her and her teenaged twins. Like many other LA homes, the compound comes with a guest house and pool. Lopez’s new place also comes complete with a barn, stables, and riding arena.</p>
<p id=”par-3_66″>So, does Lopez plan on taking up horseback riding? She didn’t seem keen on the idea in the past. In 2014, she and Leah Remini were having fun on the East Coast when horseback riding was introduced. According to <a href=”https://www.eonline.com/news/562597/watch-jennifer-lopez-refuse-to-horse-around-with-pal-leah-remini” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>E! News</a>, Remini questioned whether Lopez would ride. Lopez declined in the video, but it’s unclear where she stands now — especially with a new barn. </p>
<p id=”par-4_64″>It was previously reported that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopez-serious-concerns-buying-20-million-property-near-ben-affleck-source-explains.html/”>Lopez considered buying a place</a> near ex-husband Ben Affleck. Affleck lives in the Brentwood neighborhood of LA near his first ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. <a href=”https://www.tmz.com/2025/01/24/jennifer-lopez-eyeing-new-house-mansion-brentwood-air-quality-wildfires/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TMZ</a> reported that she found a property she loved but felt “concerned” over the wildfire risk and air quality. It seems Lopez passed on the Brentwood property after all and went for the San Fernando Valley.</p>

The couple bought the place in 2023 for $60.8 million and listed it with an <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-garner-takes-subtle-swipe-jennifer-lopez-ben-afflecks-68-million-mansion.html/”>asking price of $68 million</a> a year later. Unfortunately, they’ve had trouble selling the place. They had one serious potential buyer, but they backed out in the final moments.</p>
<p id=”par-6_40″>According to the couple’s divorce documents, they plan to split the proceeds when the mansion eventually sells. An insider told <a href=”https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/jennifer-lopez-is-becoming-frustrated-with-mansion-not-selling/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>In Touch Weekly</a> that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/ben-affleck-jennifer-lopez-agree-split-profits-60-million-mansion-documents-state.html/”>Lopez didn’t expect to have trouble selling the place</a>, especially with the renovations they did. </p>
<p id=”par-7_73″>“She can’t wait to get the hell out of the house when she can and assumed it would have happened by now and someone would have snapped it up, especially after the renovations and personal touches she added, but nothing’s happened,” the source explained. “Of course, she’s been told it’s only a select group of buyers who would be interested and have that kind of money, but it’s becoming increasingly frustrating being there.”</p>

She also notoriously had a Bridgerton-themed birthday party at her Hamptons place in 2024 without Ben Affleck attending. Lopez previously had a New York City penthouse but sold it in 2024 for $23 million.</p>
