Unlike in their younger years, both the “On the Floor” singer and the <em>Gone Girl </em>star had kids from different marriages this time.</p>

In the earlier stages of her relationship with Affleck, Lopez complimented Garner’s ability to collaborate when it came to blending their families. She was also hopeful that her kids would grow close with Affleck as time went on.</p>

They’re teens. But it’s going really well so far. What I hope to cultivate with our family is that his kids have a new ally in me and my kids have a new ally in him, someone who really loves and cares about them but can have a different perspective and help me see things that I can’t see with my kids because I’m so emotionally tied up.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_29″>It seemed Lopez’s kids eventually did warm up to Affleck. On <a href=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUYJsD_DJXY&ab_channel=TODAY”>Today</a>, the <em>Atlas </em>actor couldn’t help but gush about how much of a good father her partner was.</p>

<p id=”par-7_41″>Affleck’s and Lopez’s expanded family wouldn’t last long. After the two officially broke up, one would think that meant their kids would their separate ways as well. However, certain sources have claimed the children aren’t taking <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopez-ben-affleck-split-whole-world-exploded.html/”>their parents’ divorce</a> too hard.</p>
<p id=”par-8_27″>According to the <a href=”https://people.com/ben-affleck-has-not-been-in-touch-with-jennifer-lopez-kids-exclusive-source-8701044″>People</a>, Lopez has also decided to maintain contact with some of Affleck’s kids. In contrast, the insider alleged Affleck minimized his relationship with Lopez’s.</p>

<p id=”par-12_14″>It was a parenting style she felt she had in common with her ex.</p>

Growing up in the Bronx, the former <em>In Living Color </em>Fly Girl worked relentlessly to enjoy the success she has today. If there was one lesson she hoped her kids learned, it was the belief that everything they wanted in life was within reach.</p>
<p id=”par-15_60″>“I try to do that more as I’ve gotten older and grown up a bit and I want them to know that there’s nothing that they can’t accomplish, that they are very limitless,” she said. “That is a real thing and if you believe that you can accomplish anything in your life and I hope they’re getting that from me.”</p>
