<p id=”par-2_57″>Lopez has fallen in love more than a few times. But experiencing great love has often led to Lopez dealing with a lot of heartache afterwards. And it’s been a process that’s inspired Lopez to look inward.</p>

<p id=”par-6_65″>For a while it seemed that Lopez had found the partner she was looking for all along in Ben Affleck. The pair famously started dating in 2002 after meeting on <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/how-halle-berry-gigli-exit-sparked-ben-affleck-jennifer-lopez-love-story.html/”>the set of <em>Gigli</em></a>. They were on their way to marriage before their engagement ended in 2004. Affleck suggested that the intense scrutiny they experienced from the media played a part in ending their relationship.</p>
<p id=”par-7_57″>“I would say [media attention] was about 50 percent [of what destroyed our relationship],” Affleck said not too long ago on<em> <a href=”https://www.howardstern.com/show/”>The Howard Stern Show</a></em>.<em> “</em>The idea that people hate you and they hate you together and that being together is poison and ugly and toxic and the thing none of us want to be part of.”</p>

Getting in a relationship is the easy part. Nurturing & fostering it is a different story.
