Now, we’re looking back at a viral clip that shows Lopez stating Combs had a “problem” with her kissing other men in movies. </p>

Diddy” Combs <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopez-said-relationship-sean-diddy-combs-emotionally-exhausting.html/”>dated briefly from the late ’90s to the early ’00s</a>. Clips from those years show the couple talking about their romance. In 2011, Lopez spoke about how their relationship was “exciting at the beginning,” and they connected over their mutual love of music.</p>
<p id=”par-3_65″>“I kept him at a distance, but then he kept calling me, and I guess it was exciting at the beginning,” Lopez told <a href=”https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2011/09/jennifer-lopez-201109″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Vanity Fair</a> in 2011. “He was from New York, I was from New York; we just kind of spoke the same language, and we both had a love of music. He sort of mentored me and was very sweet in the beginning.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_49″>A clip posted to <a href=”https://www.tiktok.com/@forkeeps84/video/7416947835553254686?_r=1&_t=8pwN4SQfZ5K” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TikTok</a> from MTV’s <em>Diary</em> documentary series gave insight into what Lopez and Combs’ romance was like behind the scenes. Lopez told the cameras that she and Combs were “angry at each other very much.” Combs then found one of Lopez’s scripts for an upcoming film.</p>
<p id=”par-5_23″>“Ain’t no kissing going on, right?” Combs asked Lopez as she described one of the movie scenes. “There better not be no kissing.”</p>

An interview from the early 2000s posted to <a href=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_te0YJvY8s” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>YouTube</a> shows her talking about how <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopez-not-like-sean-p-diddy-combs-met.html/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>she initially disliked him</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-9_48″>“He was larger than life, but at first, I didn’t like him at all,” Lopez said. “… I thought he was, like, you know, ick. I didn’t like him because Sean and I were very different that way; I was very family-oriented and kind of the married type.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_47″>Lopez added that she and Combs “developed” a “bond” after working together. Once she got to know him, she fell for him. “We both understood where we were at that time in our lives, and we both knew nobody else understood exactly how we felt,” she said.</p>
