The exes appeared on good terms after going to brunch with their kids in September 2024. However, sources allege that Lopez never wanted her marriage to Affleck to end this way, and she feels like her soon-to-be ex-husband gave up on their romance. </p>
<p id=”par-3_61″>Lopez and Affleck worked together on the film <em>Unstoppable</em>. She plays Judy Robles, the mother of Anthony Robles, an American wrestler born with only one leg. Affleck complimented Lopez on her work in the film. “Jennifer’s spectacular,” he told <a href=”https://www.etonline.com/media/videos/ben-affleck-praises-jennifer-lopezs-spectacular-performance-in-unstoppable-exclusive” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Entertainment Tonight</a> in November 2024 while also complimenting the other stars. “We believed in the right people, and <em>Unstoppable</em> is another example of that.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_50″>A clip posted to <a href=”https://x.com/lopez_updates/status/1854213259605557451″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>X</a> shows a reporter asking Lopez about the film on Nov. 5, 2024, at the film’s London premiere. “In front of the camera and behind the scenes as well, Ben Affleck described you as spectacular in your performance,” the reporter said. “How would you describe his producing?”</p>
<p id=”par-5_39″>Lopez didn’t acknowledge the direct question about Affleck. Instead, she chose to credit everyone and not single out her ex. “I would describe all of the cast and everybody behind the scenes as spectacular and wonderful,” she answered. </p>

A source told <a href=”https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13830271/matt-damon-jennifer-lopez-shut-holding-hands.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>DailyMail.com</a> that Lopez tried to discuss her divorce with Damon at the Toronto International Film Festival movie premiere, but <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/matt-damon-shut-down-ben-affleck-talk-j-lo-unstoppable-premiere-report.html/”>Damon “shut down any attempt” to talk</a> about Affleck.</p>
<p id=”par-7_55″>“Matt Damon shut down any attempt that J.Lo made to discuss Ben at the premiere,” the insider alleged in September 2024. “It was her timing that was so awkward because she would have known that pulling Matt aside at the event to have an intimate talk was going to get picked up and go viral.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_33″>The insider added that Damon told Lopez he was happy she was “doing well and is thankful for her participation in the film,” but he clearly did not want to discuss Affleck. </p>

<p id=”par-9_28″>Jennifer Lopez has starred in over 35 movies in her career. A source told <a href=”https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13971225/Jennifer-Lopez-planning-comeback-2025-revenge-Ben-Affleck.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>DailyMail.com</a> that she believes her role in <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopez-wants-oscar-unstoppable-seen-victim-ben-affleck-divorce-source-says.html/”><em>Unstoppable </em>could earn her an Oscar</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-10_56″>“She wants an Oscar for <em>Unstoppable</em>,” the source claimed. “She is sensational in it. I saw the movie and wow, she nails it. I think a lot of people have discounted her acting skills because she is such a glamazon but this film is a wake-up call, like, hey guys, she can really act her pants off.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_61″>Lopez allegedly wanted an Oscar for her role in <em>Hustlers</em>. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. “There is a hope that she will get the gold for <em>Unstoppable</em>,” the source continued. “It helps that she is now seen as the victim in the Affleck split. I think voters may want to give her the award now; they feel she has been through a lot.”</p>
