<p id=”par-2_55″>An anonymous accuser set forth a lawsuit claiming <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jay-z-more-than-prepared-deal-sexual-assault-allegations-expose-fraud.html/”>Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs raped her</a> in September 2000 during a VMA afterparty. Jay-Z denied the claims, slamming the case as “frivolous, fictitious and appalling.” Nevertheless, he claimed the allegations were hurting Beyoncé and their three children. In February 2025, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jay-z-says-now-dismissed-rape-lawsuit-filing-date-was-strategic.html/”>the accuser dropped the case</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-3_56″>“This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere,” Jay-Z said, according to <a href=”https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/33392062/jay-z-rape-lawsuit-diddy-accuser/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Sun</a>. “The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims. I would not wish this experience on anyone. The trauma that my wife, my children, loved ones, and I have endured can never be dismissed.”</p>

Court documents show Jay-Z citing how outsiders threatened him and Beyoncé.</p>
<p id=”par-5_74″>“Social media comments online responding to Mr Buzbee’s public statements about me and accusations against me have caused me harm,” Jay-Z stated. “For example, people have said, ‘I can’t wait until you join (Combs) in prison. Then later in hell.’ Other comments have accused me of being a ‘satanist,’ a ‘trafficker,’ a ‘terrorist,’ and a ‘monster,’ called me the N-word, and threatened violence against me and my wife, including to ‘kill’ or ‘execute’ us.”</p>
