<p id=”par-1_64″>After more than a decade, Harry Bosch’s time on <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/amazon-prime-video”>Prime Video</a> is coming to an end. Last year, the streamer confirmed that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/bosch-legacy-season-3-premiere-date-cast-episode-release-schedule.html/”>season 3 of <em>Bosch: Legacy</em></a><em> </em>would be the last for the show. But series star Titus Welliver – who has played the gruff detective since 2014 – would have been happy to continue in the role, he said in a recent interview. </p>

<p id=”par-2_53″><em>Bosch: Legacy </em>is the successor series to <em>Bosch, </em>which ran for seven seasons from 2014 to 2021. While Welliver had no idea the show (which is based on a <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/bosch-star-titus-welliver-nailedharry-bosch-audition-michael-connelly.html/”>series of novels by Michael Connelly</a>) would be as successful as it was, he couldn’t be more happy that it found a loyal audience. </p>
<p id=”par-3_78″>“The greatest gift I could have received is the character of Bosch from Michael Connelly,” he said during an appearance on <a href=”https://www.today.com/video/titus-welliver-talks-bosch-legacy-final-season-rumors-more-235404357924″><em>Today</em></a><em>. </em>“Our first day of shooting on the pilot, Michael asked me straight-up, ‘How long do you see yourself playing this character?’ And I answered that I’d play him as long as they’d have me. So, 10 years is quite a run. But there’s still a lot of gas in the tank for Harry and for myself.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_34″>Welliver also gave a shout-out to <em>Bosch </em>fans, who have been pressuring Amazon to uncancel the show. A <a href=”http://change.org”>Change.org</a> petition in support of a fourth season of <em>Bosch: Legacy </em>has close to 30,000 signatures. </p>
<p id=”par-5_52″>“The fans and the goodwill toward the show has been really kind of amazing … there’s petitions and things like that,” the actor said. “I think there’s a kind of ownership with the fans. They feel that it’s their show and they’re gonna call the shots … I’m very touched by that.” </p>

<p id=”par-6_30″>While <em>Bosch: Legacy </em>has been canceled, Welliver isn’t writing off the possibility of more stories featuring the ex-LAPD detective turned PI. He thinks the franchise could continue in some fashion. </p>
<p id=”par-7_35″>“There’s always a distinct possibility, like they’ve done with <em>Jack Ryan</em> and <em>Reacher</em>, [for] spun off feature-length films,” Welliver told <a href=”https://www.tvinsider.com/1182559/titus-welliver-bosch-legacy-cancellation-return-spinoff-movie/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TV Insider</a>. “So is there a possibility of life for that character? I think so.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_19″>Welliver also said that before <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/bosch-legacy-ending-season-3-star-titus-welliver-reacts-eternally-grateful.html/”>Amazon canceled <em>Bosch: Legacy</em></a><em>, </em>the show’s team had been working on a fourth season. </p>
<p id=”par-9_41″>“We had already been pre-planning what season 4 was going to look like, because we’d ostensibly discussed the idea that Harry, as he does in the books, returns to be a volunteer detective for the San Fernando Police Department,” he shared. </p>
<p id=”par-10_61″>Whether fans will ever get to see that part of Harry’s story remains to be seen. But he’ll get some screentime in <em>Ballard, </em>Prime Video’s upcoming spinoff about LAPD cold case detective Renée Ballard. The character, played by Maggie Q, will be introduced in this season of <em>Bosch: Legacy.</em> Welliver will also appear in a few episodes of the new show. </p>
