<p id=”par-1_23″>People who used to work for <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/meghan-markle/?swcfpc=1″>Meghan Markle</a> have had a lot to say about the duchess over the last several months. </p>
<p id=”par-2_79″>In September 2024, <a href=”https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/business-news/hollywood-keeps-quitting-prince-harry-meghan-markle-1235996963/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Hollywood Reporter</a> published a piece after speaking to several people who work and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/many-prince-harry-meghan-markles-staffers-quit-working.html/?swcfpc=1″>have worked for</a> Meghan and described her as a “<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/meghan-markle-dictator-high-heels-reduce-grown-men-tears-report.html/?swcfpc=&swcfpc=1″>dictator in high heels</a>.” Other former employees talked to the <a href=”https://www.thedailybeast.com/former-employees-of-demon-meghan-markle-share-their-truth-on-her-psycho-moments/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Daily Beast</a> and took things a step further calling <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-harry-was-able-to-marry-meghan-markle-because-she-didnt-do-this-1-thing-in-her-past.html/?swcfpc=1″>Harry’s wife</a> a “<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/new-claims-say-meghan-markle-not-just-dictator-high-heels-also-demon-boss.html/?swcfpc=1″>demon boss</a>” who has “psycho moments.” Then came a blistering <a href=”https://www.vanityfair.com/style/story/prince-harry-meghan-markle-cover-story-2025″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Vanity Fair</a> February 2025 cover story in which a few of Meghan’s former employees claimed they needed “therapy” after working for her. </p>
<p id=”par-3_50″>Now, someone else who used to work with the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/meghan-markle-getting-residual-checks-suits-surprise-streaming-success.html/”>former <em>Suits</em> star</a> is explaining why the duchess is having so much trouble now trying to get her new lifestyle brand in order after a delay, a trademark issue, and accusations of stealing the new name and logo for it. </p>

<p id=”par-4_74″>Meghan took to Instagram on Feb. 18 to share that she has changed the name of her lifestyle brand from American Riviera Orchard to “As Ever.” However, that decision was met with backlash as the duchess was accused of ripping off that name from a couple of established businesses that already bear the name. She was also accused of copying the new logo for her brand from a Spanish town’s coat of arms. </p>
<p id=”par-5_39″>The insider, who worked with Meghan when she was still a working royal living in the U.K., told the <a href=”https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/royals/article-14412941/RICHARD-EDEN-spoiled-Meghan-launch-EVER.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Daily Mail</a>: “This is further evidence of what we’ve seen time and again with Meghan. She doesn’t like to take advice.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_49″>They added: “I’m sure she would have been advised that it was better not to launch her company until everything had been thought through carefully. Meghan was offered so much advice and support after she moved to Britain, including from <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/queen-elizabeth-ii-dead-british-monarch-dies-96.html/”>the late queen</a>, but most of it she ignored.”</p>

<p id=”par-7_43″>Tina Brown, who is the former editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair and The New Yorker as well as the founder of The Daily Beast, agrees that the Duchess of Sussex won’t take advice and just goes with her own ideas which aren’t any good. </p>
<p id=”par-8_74″>During an appearance on <em><a href=”https://theankler.com/p/tina-brown-on-trump-harris-and-our?r=23exy&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&triedRedirect=true” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Ankler</a> </em>podcast with Janice Win, Brown said: “The trouble with Meghan is that she has the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world. She’s flawless about getting it all wrong. She really is. Her issue is that she doesn’t listen. She has all these people, asks them their opinion, and then doesn’t follow it. She does what she wants to do. And all of her ideas are total crap, unfortunately.”</p>

<p id=”par-9_45″>Grant Harrold was <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/former-royal-butler-reveals-amazed-king-charles-infamous-pen-incident.html/?swcfpc=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>King Charles’ butler</a> for seven years. During his time working for the now-monarch and his wife, Harrold’s duties included that of valet, housekeeper, house manager, and driver. He also looked after Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate whenever they stayed at Highgrove House. </p>
<p id=”par-10_23″>Harrold told <a href=”https://www.gbnews.com/royal/eamonn-holmes-blasts-meghan-markle-lifestyle-brand-as-ever” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>GB News</a> this isn’t a “great start” for Meghan’s brand as these latest problems are turning into a “disaster” for her. </p>

And then when I saw the logo, it’s very similar to the Spanish town’s [of Porreres], so it’s not great. I think the town has actually said they’re going to possibly fight her on this, so this isn’t a great start to her new brand.”</p>
<p id=”par-12_58″>The former royal butler added: “It’s constantly this rebranding thing that’s going on, which is quite interesting. We’ve had different brands — way back to Sussex Royal at the very beginning, we’ve now got this new lifestyle series that’s coming out, and obviously, she’s got this new brand that’s going to go alongside it — it’s very difficult.</p>
<p id=”par-13_50″>“This is not something royals typically do. Prince Harry is a senior member of the royal family, so it’s kind of uncharted territory that they’re going into. And this is a bit of a disaster, because everything they seem to do when it comes to branding, it just doesn’t seem to work.”</p>
