According to a Palisades local, the hotels and bars in the area are “packed with millionaires” as the ultra-rich plan what to do next. Here’s what the local explained. </p>

<p id=”par-2_70″>Celebrities and locals in the ritzy Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, are evacuating amid the wildfires in January 2025. Thousands of residents have evacuated their homes as of Jan. 8, 2025, and the 100-mile-per-hour wind gusts have quickly caused the fires to worsen in some areas. LA Department of Water and Power CEO Janisse Quiñones urges residents to conserve water so the fire department can combat the flames.</p>
<p id=”par-3_49″>Many celebrities live in the ultra-wealthy Southern California neighborhood. Local resident Lisa Ann told <a href=”https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-14263343/Pacific-Palisades-fires-Beverly-Hills-Hotel-overflow-millionaires-stars-like-Reese-Witherspoon-lose-homes.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>DailyMail.com</a> that famous folks took over the Beverly Hills Hotel, The Four Seasons Beverly Hills, the Peninsula Hotel, and the Waldorf Astoria. The hotels typically charge around $700 a night, making them inaccessible to many.</p>
<p id=”par-4_40″>“I evacuated early and called the Hilton immediately,” Lisa Ann explained. “They had like, two rooms left. I feel lucky I could get in. They sold out so fast. As soon as people started smelling smoke they went on Hotels.com.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_38″>Lisa Ann noted that she saw celebrities “hauling in their Gucci luggage and animals, dogs and cats too, I saw a parrot in a cage. It’s a madhouse.” She added that “stressed” rich folks packed the local bars.</p>
<p id=”par-6_36″>“The bar is packed with millionaires asking for information; they are searching the Citizen app and freaking out,” she continued, adding that she saw someone “looking at a new home on Realtor.com” in “Utah or Oregon.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_10″>“Everyone is shook,” she noted. “They want out of California.”</p>
