<p id=”par-1_46″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/gwen-stefani/?swcfpc=1″>Gwen Stefani</a> and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/blake-shelton/?swcfpc=1″>Blake Shelton</a> have been together for years. The couple met as coaches on <em><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/the-voice/?swcfpc=1″>The Voice</a></em> and began dating as they both went through divorces. In a speech praising her husband, Stefani said he was the embodiment of many different dreams, including her own. </p>

<p id=”par-2_39″>In 2023, Shelton received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Stefani gave a speech at the ceremony in which she praised her husband. She described him as a “one-of-a-kind guy” who has “always stayed true to himself.”</p>
<p id=”par-3_61″>“He’s humble, he’s genuine, and trust me, wherever we go everybody feels like they know Blake Shelton,” she said, per <a target=”_blank” href=”https://people.com/country/blake-shelton-marrying-gwen-stefani-greatest-thing-happened-walk-of-fame-ceremony/” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a>. “Blake, you are a rare human being. The reason Blake Shelton is here today on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is because you are part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream and you are part of the American Dream.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_10″>She added that he is also part of her dream.</p>
<p id=”par-5_14″>“And everybody knows you are my dream come true,” she said. “I love you.”</p>

<p id=”par-6_27″>Stefani and Shelton were both going through divorces at the same time. She wanted to keep her separation from Gavin Rossdale a secret to her colleagues, though.</p>
<p id=”par-7_24″>“It was the beginning of hell,” she told <a href=”https://www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/features/a16416/gwen-stefani-interview/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Harper’s Bazaar</a>. “Like six, seven, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/gwen-stefani-said-believe-happened-divorce-gavin-rossdale.html/”>eight months of torture</a>, trying to figure out this big secret.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_14″>Shelton, by contrast, announced his divorce from Miranda Lambert to the other <em>Voice </em>coaches. </p>
<p id=”par-9_38″>“There I was with my big secret, right?” she said. “And that’s when Blake was like, ‘Everybody, before we go out there, I want to let everyone know that by the time this airs, I will be divorced.’”</p>
<p id=”par-10_32″>She was <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/gwen-stefani-said-blake-sheltons-divorce-announcement-felt-gift.html/”>grateful to have another person</a> who understood what she was going through. After his announcement, she asked to speak with him privately and admitted she was going through something similar.</p>
<p id=”par-11_32″>“[I felt] exposed somehow, you know?” she said. “But it was like being handed this gift of a friend who was going through the exact same thing at the exact same time.”</p>
<p id=”par-12_15″>Stefani said her connection with Shelton completely changed her life. Suddenly, she felt hopeful again.</p>
<p id=”par-13_29″>“And then it was just like everything flipped,” she said. “It went from horrible to, like, hopeful and, like, ‘Wow, God, you just don’t know what’s gonna happen next.’”</p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-he-said-marrying-her-was-a-big-achievement-for-him”>He said marrying her was a big achievement for him</h2>
<p id=”par-14_34″>Shelton has also said that getting to know Stefani helped him through his divorce. At his Walk of Fame ceremony, he said that marrying her was one of the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/blake-shelton-said-greatest-accomplishment-marrying-gwen-stefani.html/”>greatest accomplishments of his life</a>.</p>
