<p id=”par-2_60″>Fat Joe and Lopez may work so well together because of having a lot in common. Joe and Lopez were born and raised in the Bronx. They also have strong ties to their Latino heritage. Their personal relationship is just as cordial and wholesome as their professional one, as Joe considers the “I’m Real” singer a part of his family.</p>
<p id=”par-3_30″>“I’m very lucky. I’ve known her since so many years, back since she first started. So, to me, she’s like a sister,” he said in a resurfaced interview with <a href=”https://www.fuse.tv/videos/2014/09/t10-fat-joe-interview”>Fuse</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-4_67″>“There’s nothing else to describe her as, but, like a sister. Somebody who I grew up with, and she got nothing but love,” he added. “There’s nothing but love with me and J.Lo. I’ve never had no type of negative incident. She’s never got into a diva with me. Nothing. She’s just, like, ‘Joe, you my brother, whatever you need, I got you. So, I’ve been blessed.”</p>

<p id=”par-5_72″>Likewise, both Lopez and Joe have experienced meteoric successes coming from humble beginnings. Joe reminded Lopez of how big of a star she’d become since their first collaboration all those years back. The Bronx emcee quipped that Lopez’s newfound status might’ve clashed with the music video and premise of songs like “Stressin’”. </p>

<p id=”par-8_45″>Fat Joe and Lopez have worked alongside each other several times in their careers. Lopez even considered Joe one of her <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopez-revealed-rapper-thinks-cute.html/”>favorite rap artists of all time</a>. Joe confided that he first crossed paths with the singer when she was just entering the music business.</p>
<p id=”par-9_51″>“J.Lo, I met early in her career, when she first started and was about to get on. Me and Pun was there every night for her first album, givin’ input, hangin’ out, so she’s been a friend for years. I got her on my next single,” Joe once told <a href=”https://www.miaminewtimes.com/music/fat-joe-talks-j-lo-notorious-big-big-pun-living-in-miami-and-baseball-6442390″>Miami Times</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-10_48″>Since then, the pair have made four songs together. Their last collaboration was the 2014 record “Stressin.’” Before this, they hadn’t worked on a song together since the 2005 track “Hold You Down.” But Joe asserted that it took little effort to convince Lopez to reunite for music.</p>
<p id=”par-11_56″>“She was like, ‘Hey, Joe. What’s Up?’ I was like, ‘Yo, let’s get it in. Let’s go and make a joint. She was like, ‘Bet, Joey. You know whatever you want, I’m here.’ And that was that. We just went in and made the joint and it is out now. I love the song,” he said.</p>
<p id=”par-12_22″>Fat Joe considered his collaborations with Lopez an event, likening it to whenever another popular hip hop duo made a record. </p>
