<p id=”par-1_60″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/prince-harry/”>Prince Harry</a> going to London, England, to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-harrys-prepared-royal-reunions-wants-see-my-family-as-much-as-i-can.html/”>make a royal reunion happen</a> probably isn’t going to happen despite reports, according to a royal expert. Why? Because, in their opinion, the Duke of Sussex, 39, would’ve already tried to set up time with his father, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/king-charles/”>King Charles III</a>, or brother, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/prince-william/”>Prince William</a>, earlier in 2024 when he was on British soil.</p>

<p id=”par-2_46″>Expert Jennie Bond dismissed reports Harry may head to England to make a reunion happen with King Charles and the Prince of Wales. Her argument? He would’ve budgeted more time to see his family in February and May 2024 when he made trips across the pond. </p>
<p id=”par-3_40″>“If Harry had really wanted to confront his family and patch things up,” she said, “he would surely have allotted more time to his recent visits so that his father at least could make arrangements to see him,” (via <a href=”https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1917268/chance-prince-harry-peace-royal-family-latest”>E</a><a href=”https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1917268/chance-prince-harry-peace-royal-family-latest” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>xpress</a>).</p>
<p id=”par-4_19″>As for William potentially <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-harrys-reportedly-fighting-losing-battle-meghan-markles-eyes-reaching-out-william-kate-she-thinks-hes-mak.html/”>extending an olive branch</a> to Harry, the former BBC royal correspondent called it highly unlikely. </p>
<p id=”par-5_24″>“I don’t think there’s any chance of William wanting to do so. Particularly with all he has on his plate right now,” Bond said. </p>
<p id=”par-6_27″>The future king returned to royal duties in late April 2024 after taking a break due to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kate-middleton-worries-fears-over-cancer-battle.html/”>Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis</a>, for which she’s <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kate-middleton-cancer-battle-time-uncertainty-princess-of-wales.html/”>still undergoing treatment</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-7_34″>“So, I’ll believe this when I see it,” she continued. “But it will be lovely if he could indeed spend some time, perhaps at Balmoral, during the summer and make peace with his father.” </p>
<p id=”par-8_45″>Previous reports claimed King Charles <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/king-charles-may-give-harry-meghan-olive-branch-invite-balmoral-summer.html/”>may invite Harry and Meghan Markle</a>, as well as their two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, to the royal family’s longtime summer retreat. However, at the time of writing, no Sussex visit to Balmoral has been confirmed. </p>

<p id=”par-9_23″>Bond’s comments came after<a href=”https://www.ok.co.uk/royal/prince-harry-meghan-royal-family-33130407″> O</a><a href=”https://www.ok.co.uk/royal/prince-harry-meghan-royal-family-33130407″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>K!</a> reported that watching footage from Trooping the Colour at home in Montecito, California, left Harry “upset and emotional.” </p>
<p id=”par-10_25″>“He can’t believe it’s come to this. And he’s now saying he’s going to fly over and force them to face him,” an insider claimed. </p>
<p id=”par-11_27″>“He’s still a prince, after all. They’re still his family. And whether they like it or not, he’s refusing to just be cast aside,” they went on. </p>
<p id=”par-12_33″>Harry, despite being more than four years removed from royal life (he and the Duchess of Sussex’s time as working royals officially ended in March 2020), is still crushed by the ongoing rift. </p>
<p id=”par-13_26″>“He continues to be heartbroken and confused by the way he’s being treated by the royals,” the source said. “It’s as though he doesn’t exist anymore.” </p>

<p id=”par-14_26″>On the heels of seeing his father in London following the king’s cancer diagnosis, Harry spoke with <em>Good Morning America</em> while promoting the 2025 Invictus Games. </p>

Yeah, I’m sure,” Harry replied when asked if it was “possible” the king’s <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/royal-expert-explains-problem-prince-harrys-comment-family-illness.html/”>illness could bring the royal family together</a>. “Throughout all these families, I see it on a day-to-day basis. Again, the strength of the family unit coming together.” </p>
<p id=”par-16_24″>“I think any illness, any sickness, brings families together. I see it time and time again, and that makes me very happy,” Harry added. </p>
<p id=”par-17_46″>Since then, some of Harry’s hope for a royal reunion may have diminished. In May 2024, he traveled to London to mark 10 years of the Invictus Games. He didn’t meet with King Charles, nor did any royals <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-harry-family-members-did-attend-invictus-games-ceremony.html/”>attend an anniversary service</a> at St. Paul’s Cathedral. </p>
