<p id=”par-1_32″>Several members of the royal family stepped out recently to support the Princess of Wales (<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/dont-be-fooled-this-is-what-kate-middleton-was-really-like-in-school.html/?swcfpc=1″>formerly known as Kate Middleton</a>) when they attended her fourth annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey.</p>
<p id=”par-2_46″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/king-charles/?swcfpc=1″>King Charles</a>, who was diagnosed with cancer around the same time as Kate, did not make the “Together at Christmas” concert nor did <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/camilla-parker-bowles/?swcfpc=1″>Queen Camilla</a> as she has been battling what was thought to be a chest infection but is actually a form of pneumonia. </p>
<p id=”par-3_28″>Kate’s cousin-in-law, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/princess-Eugenie/?swcfpc=1″>Princess Eugenie</a>, also skipped the event and that has some wondering if it’s because she still has a frosty relationship with the Princess of Wales. </p>

<p id=”par-5_52″>Some of the royals who attended Kate’s carol service included Prince William and their three children, the Duchess of Edinburgh (formerly <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/queen-elizabeth-ii-refused-give-prince-edwards-wife-sophie-wanted-wedding-day.html/”>Sophie, Countess of Wessex</a>), Zara Tindall, and Princess Beatrice. However, the absence of Beatrice’s sister is raising eyebrows. That’s because Kate and Eugenie haven’t always had the greatest relationship over the years.</p>
<p id=”par-6_102″>After rumors swirled that the ladies didn’t get along too well, a video of Eugenie pushing past Kate went viral. The <a href=”https://x.com/RoyalsFamily999/status/1484880275444273152″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>clip posted to X</a> shows the family leaving a Christmas Day service at St. Mary Magdalene Church near the Sandringham House in Norfolk. As Kate is exiting the church, Eugenie can be seen pushing by William’s wife to get in front of her. The Princess of Wales stopped and turned briefly to see who she felt blow by her. Then, as Kate walks past Eugenie, she gives her a hard stare before flicking her hair and moving on to greet well-wishers.</p>
<p id=”par-7_33″>There’s no specific date posted with the video, but it appears to be from several years back which has many royal watchers pointing to as evidence that there’s always been tension between them.</p>

<p id=”par-8_21″>Fans continue to speculate why Eugenie wasn’t at the carol service as there could be several reasons she didn’t go. </p>
<p id=”par-9_75″>One reason could be that she may not even have been in the country at the time. The princess and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, split their time between England and Portugal for Brooksbank’s job. For several months of the year, they reside in a resort near where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently purchased a property. And some think that Eugenie’s friendship with the Sussexes is a point of contention between her and Kate. </p>
<p id=”par-10_45″>We’ll have to stay tuned and see what happens on Christmas as <a href=”https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1986508/princess-eugenie-christmas-prince-harry-meghan-markle?int_source=nba” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Express</a> reported that Eugenie has been invited to Montecito to spend the holiday with Meghan and Harry but also received an invite to Sandringham in Norfolk to be with the royal family. </p>
