Aldis Hodge plays the title character. Other cast members include Isaiah Mustafa, Melody Hurd, Caleb Elijah, Jennifer Wigmore, Juanita Jennings, Ryan Eggold, Johnny Ray Gill, Eloise Mumford, Alona Tal, and Samantha Walkes.

Though Cross was just released, Prime Video is convinced it will be a hit.
“I am thrilled to be embarking on another chapter of Cross.
Cross Season 1 saw Alex Cross attempting to unravel multiple mysteries. By the finale, he’d discovered that Ed Ramsey (Eggold) was the Fanboy killer and put him behind bars. (Though there was one final twist that ensured Ramsey wouldn’t get the recognition he so desired for his crimes.) He’d also discovered that his son’s piano teacher was behind his wife Maria’s murder. She had targeted him and his family as payback for his role in sending her informally adopted daughter to prison for a crime she didn’t commit.

The season ended with Cross turning a page after a troubled period in his life. He sat down for an interview with a man he’d attacked and beaten, wrongly believing he’d murdered Maria. He also went to therapy, finally ready to open up about his feelings about losing his wife.

The first season of Cross comes to a satisfying conclusion while also setting the stage for more stories involving Hodge’s character. But what exactly is next for Cross isn’t clear. Though the series is inspired by Patterson’s novels, season 1 is an original story that’s not based on a specific book. Season 2 will also presumably involve a fresh plot that won’t be familiar to fans of Patterson’s novels.

All episodes of Cross are streaming on Prime Video.
