<p id=”par-2_44″>Pascal <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/chicago-fire-shocker-eamonn-walker-chief-boden-scaled-down-role-season-13.html/”>replaces Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker)</a>, who said goodbye at the end of season 12 to take a new job as deputy commissioner. And new photos from the <em>Chicago Fire </em>Season 13 premiere make it clear that he jumps right into the action.</p>

In another, he looks to be having a potentially tense conversation with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/david-eigenberg-is-best-known-for-playing-a-bartender-in-sex-and-the-city-but-hes-sober-and-cant-make-a-cosmopolitan.html/”>Herrmann (David Eigenberg)</a>. </p>

<p id=”par-4_29″>Pascal is an outsider in the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/chicago-fire-where-firehouse-51-located.html/”>Chicago Fire Department</a>. He comes to 51 from the Miami FD, and his arrival “shakes everything up,” showrunner Andrea Newman told <a href=”https://www.tvinsider.com/1150434/chicago-fire-pd-med-fall-preview-2024-exclusive/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TV Insider</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-5_17″>“There’s going to be changes around the firehouse,” Pascal says in a teaser for the new season. </p>
<p id=”par-6_18″>So, what exactly brings Pascal from Florida to the Windy City? We’ll find out when the show returns. </p>

<p id=”par-8_21″>One thing we do know about Pascal is that his approach to managing Firehouse 51 is very different from his predecessor. </p>
<p id=”par-9_63″>“He’s a totally different kind of leader from Boden, who was a father figure by the time he left the house,” Newman said. Pascal “is enigmatic, he wants to peel back the layers of the firefighters to find out more about them as firefighters and people because knowledge is power to him. He’s got his eye out for people who cross the line.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_12″>Not everyone in the firehouse embraces the change in leadership, Newman added. </p>
<p id=”par-11_26″>“All our guys will have different reactions to him and there will be surprises in terms of who bonds with Pascal and who doesn’t,” she said. </p>

<p id=”par-12_28″>No one may be more excited for Pascal’s <em>Chicago Fire </em>debut than Mulroney himself. On Sept. 5, the actor took to <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/C_i1yfoPE0H/?hl=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> to share a photo from set. </p>
<p id=”par-13_15″>”At work on #chicagofire @nbc back in my cheap Kentucky gas station shades,” he wrote. </p>
<p id=”par-14_18″>On August 28, he also shared a carousel of images taken while filming at the Chicago Cultural Center. </p>
<p id=”par-15_13″>“Chief Pascal reporting for duty on @chicagofire_nbc at #chicagoculturalcenter,” he captioned <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/dermotmulroney?hl=en&img_index=5″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>the post</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-16_37″>“I’m thrilled to join <em>Chicago Fire,</em>” he said in a video posted to the One Chicago <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DAEdNEXSTnr/?hl=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> account. “[We’re] starting the season off literally with a bang … [Pascal] is a hands-on chief, and he means business.”</p>
