<p id=”par-1_55″>Snack time! <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/actors/”>Actor</a> Chase Stokes, or John B to fans of <em>Outer Banks</em>, is sharing some of his favorite snacks on set. He “always” keeps two in his trailer, one of which he’ll eat “straight out of the bowl.” When he’s not filming, he likes to cook with his country music star <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/chase-stokes-kelsea-ballerinis-rule-keeps-relationship-strong-british-royalty-coded.html/”>girlfriend, Kelsea Ballerini</a>.</p>

<p id=”par-2_30″>The <em>Outer Banks</em> star opened up to <a href=”https://www.eatingwell.com/chase-stokes-dinner-he-loves-making-interview-8716388″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>EatingWell</a> about what he likes to eat on set. Two snacks he “always” has in his trailer are—drumroll, please—chicken salad and cottage cheese. </p>
<p id=”par-3_81″>“I’m a big chicken salad fan. I will eat it straight out of the bowl when I make it,” Stokes said. “Chicken salad is something I always keep on me.” His preferred chicken salad is a combination of “a little bit of celery, a lot of chicken,” and maybe some “sliced grapes in it to sweeten it up” like his mom does. “That combo and a good amount of pepper is the secret weapon to a good chicken salad,” he added. </p>
<p id=”par-4_57″>As for cottage cheese, Stokes likes to eat it for breakfast. “Cottage cheese with a little bit of honey and some fruit has been something that I always have because it’s just an easy snack,” he said. “I’ll get a tub of cottage cheese and I’ll put it in my trailer or keep it at the house.” </p>

<p id=”par-5_40″>Asked about cooking with Ballerini—the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/grammy-awards/”>Grammy</a> nominee <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kelsea-ballerinis-first-words-boyfriend-chase-stokes-straight-instagram.html/”>slid into his DMs</a> in late 2022 before going public with their romance in 2023—Stokes shared they “consistently” cook a “skirt steak with chimichurri” at their temporary home base in Los Angeles, California. </p>
<p id=”par-6_44″>The dish, Stokes went on, holds a special place in their relationship. “I think that was one of the first meals I actually cooked for her,” he said. “Almost two years later, that’s still a meal that we keep in the kitchen pretty consistently.” </p>
<p id=”par-7_24″>Another staple for Stokes and Ballerini is pesto scrambled eggs with ground turkey breast for breakfast with a side of cottage cheese and fruit.</p>

<p id=”par-8_36″>After part two of <em>Outer Banks</em> Season 4 began streaming, Netflix confirmed the show’s next season will be its last. That means John B and (almost) all the Pogues have one last adventure before <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/outer-banks-star-madelyn-cline-ready-life-netflix-series.html/”>saying goodbye</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-9_51″>“My heart[’]s heavy writing this one…One last ride. Thank you to everybody who has tuned in these past 5 years,” Stokes wrote in an <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DB9yMHbR4TT/?hl=en&img_index=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> post on Nov. 5, 2024, following the announcement. “You’ve given us more than we could ever give back to you…It’s always gonna be Pogues 4 Life.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_22″>Meanwhile, the show’s creators—Shannon Burke, Jonas Pate, and Josh Pate—shared in their own <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DB9yZblz1o8/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> post that they’d always envisioned a five-season run. </p>
<p id=”par-11_53″>“From this beginning, we imagined a mystery that would lead to a five-season journey of adventure, treasure hunting, and friendship,” they said. “We hope to bring our beloved Pogues home in the way we imagined and planned years ago. We hope you’ll join us for one more paddle out to the surf break.”</p>
